Biography
Prince Edward Island's Drea Macdonald is a musician and songwriter who puts a new spin on the "tried and true" themes of hard love, growing up, and hitting the road. She has recorded two e.p.'s from 2008 - 2010, and is currently working on a full length album with a new backing band, "The Wildebeards", scheduled for release in Summer, 2012.
Performing solo, Drea boasts strong vocals carrying confessional lyrics, and aggressive acoustic strumming. As part of The Wildebeards, the acoustic is left behind to make room for three electric guitars, multiple backup vocals, pop hooks and a solid, bluesy rhythm section.
