Artist Information
Biography
Jeff Byrd and Dirty Finch are an alt-country / roots-rock band out of Rhode Island that have been playing relentlessly all over the Northeast. Their southern style twang and infectious hooks and melodies are causing quite the buzz amongst fans and critics alike.
The band released their self titled debut album in December of 2010 that was well received by fans and critics alike. The songs 'Probably Maybe' and Draggin' Bones' were both featured in numerous television programs and national commercials.
The bands follow up album entitled 'Jumped That Train' is set for release January 12th, 2013. The guys believe this new album demonstrates what ‘Jeff Byrd & Dirty Finch’ are all about. The album swirls with harmonies, infectious hooks and intense melodies from songs ranging anywhere from dirty and gritty (‘Ashes, Women and Wine’, ‘Whiskey’, ‘Memphis’) to bright and poppy (‘Ain’t Got a Lot’, ‘Rose’, ‘Entry Wounds’) to moving and poignant (‘Best of Me’, ‘Elementary Parts’).
That being said, I think you’ll find that over all, ‘Jumped That Train’ is an introspective journey through hills and valleys, ups and downs and lefts and rights. It’s an album full of thoughtful words and powerful music…from a band that’s been labeled country, rock, alt-country, Americana and everything in between.
Whatever label you may bestow upon them, we hope that you’ll find their words & music to be meaningful and inspirational to you.
Please listen, and by all means…enjoy.
