Biography
I started writing song lyrics a couple years ago, when a friend said, "that sounds like a song title," after something I said. So, I went home and wrote a song about it. I've written about thirty songs since then and have discovered how much songwriting satisfies my creative needs. I've always loved music, plus have worked in the music field for the last ten years (doing booking for a large coffeehouse and working as a booking agent and musician's assistant). I just recently started trying to write melodies, which doesn't come as easily to me. I am now starting to work with other musicians who are writing melodies to some of my lyrics.

My song "Magnets on the Fridge" received Honorable Mention in the American Songwriter Magazine Amateur Lyric Contest for their Jan/Feb 2009 issue.
"Magnets on the Fridge" also received Honorable Mention (top 500 songs) in the 2008 Billboard World Song Contest.
(Removed "Magnets on the Fridge" lyrics as I'm working with other songwriters on a melody and want to wait until that's done to put it back up.)
