The Flummies have been performing traditional east coast music for 34 years, have 8 albums to their credit, awards plus a documentary airing on APTN. Having performed in Germany in the 80’s, their main audience base currently ranges between the island of Newfoundland and the Canadian High Arctic.

Flummies (flum`-meez`) n. - traditional Labrador trappers’ bread using a mixture of flour, salt and baking powder

Over the past three decades the Labrador band, THE FLUMMIES, have been performing at various theatres, events and music festivals in various provinces and territories of Canada. Button accordion jigs and reels, mixed with self penned country/rock favorites, continue to please audiences in Atlantic Canada and in Northern Canadian communities.

The Flummies have recorded and released 8 cds and were featured in their own television special titled “Labrador Originals” produced thru Bravo! Canada and APTN. The Flummies record and release on their own independent label KENAMU RECORDS.

The Flummies are a 6 piece band homebased in Goose Bay Labrador. They have a special sound and style not parelled by any other band we have heard.

The Flummies continue to thrill audiences today and back during a tour of Germany a decade ago plus performed 26 shows at the base of the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for a provincial tourism event. From coast to coast, eastern Canadian traditional music has become a favoured Canadian commodity
