Mike Hicks & The Funk Puncs is not your average band...its a band which crosses diverse musical boundaries whether its the unique sensibility for original songwriting or the slamming arrangements of cover tunes. Whether solo or accompanied, his live show is beautiful, spontaneous, and always inspirational.

A product of lifelong musical involvement AND ministry, Mike incorporates a vast array of influences in one original sound that appeals to R&B, Neo-Soul, CCM, Gospel, Jazz, and more.

A native of Warner Robins, Georgia and a current resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Michael brings a musical background rich in the culture of gospel music and the rhythmic stylings of soul and funk. Quietly becoming a force in Nashville's urban music scene, he produces and writes for various artists and he is the frontman and songwriter for Nashville's newest force of funk, Funktional Punctuation (aka The Funk Puncs).
