Biography

Originally from Christmas Island, Kim moved to Darwin in 2004. in 2006 he created an EP 'Alcoholism, Politics and Her' and in 2007 an LP 'The Return of Lucky Phil'. His most recent EP 'You (and other such muses)' got a release mid-march 2008. He has been described thus by some in the music scene: "Kim Orchard is a local singer/songwriter with passion, talent and a debut album out which proves it. His bluesy, folk inspired guitar playing and vocals are clever, witty and honest. A true songwriter in the Dylan tradition.". Some of Kim's bigger gigs have included the 2004 and 2005 National Campus Band Competitions, the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Darwin Festivals and Fringe Festivals and the 2008/2009 Adelaide Fringe Festivals.
