Biography
Wicked Jezabel is an offspring of the popular, now retired, all girl band "The Outskirts of Town". Davi and Pauline, of the Outskirts, started Wicked Jezabel in October of 2004, as a part-time project. Immediately, they added Mickey and Ginger into the mix. Patty Daugherty, our very first, larger than life, drummer could only play part-time till 2005. Sandy Dumas joined in January of 2006 while Shirley Purvis helped out on drums till drummer Meri Schaefer joined in 2006 for almost, two years. She left only to return in 2009. Wicked Jezabel plays "full-time" (4 to 6 gigs per month). Davi, Pauline and Sandy, from the Outskirts, along with Elaine Giles, the awesome sound engineering staff from The Outskirts of Town, continue the "all girl party band" legacy along with (on keys) Ginger, (former bass player) Mickey and (former drummer), Gwen Frederick. Mickey left in 2005 to finish grad-school and Virgil Night took her place for almost two years. Due to health reasons, Virgil had to quit and was replaced by the multi-talented Colleen Clark out of Delaware. Patty returned with a much more compatible schedule and with a BIG BANG! Today in 2012, Wicked Jezabel continues to gig strong with, Davi, Pauline, Ginger, Sandy, Colleen and Patty. Together Wicked Jezabel is the most popular and unstoppable all girl pop/rock party band the Eastcoast has ever witnessed. They plan to sustain this legacy for many years to come!

In D.C., it's all about the Wammies, the Washington Area Music Awards (WAMA), which recognize significant career achievements by area musicians. On Feb. 17, the 22nd Annual Wammies honored the six women who comprise Wicked Jezabel. . . .The big-haired, all-female cover band won in the category of ''Best Hard Rock Duo/Group,'' against a handful of local bands. 'We really made some Washington history here,’ says Pauline Anson-Dross, who sings and plays guitar with the band. 'We're the only first all-female band to win a Wammie in 22 years.''

They're a fabulous cover band. I would describe them, No. 1, as having fun. Each member sings as well as plays an instrument. They're very versatile and constantly changing. They can go from rock to poppy '80s tunes and do them justice equally. And they're all really good musicians. They really work hard, and you can tell.''

But don't expect any Keith Richards-esque moments from these Wicked Jezabels . . . Their act comes with a little decorum and humility.”

The tight cohesive filled organization they have accomplished makes it hard for any band to compete on this high caliber they are well known for. The band is comprised of multi talented performers that bring a lot to any show they perform.”
