Jigsaw Collective is a Contemporary Soul, Jazz and Blues band from Darwin, Australia. The act formed in 2004. Since that time Jigsaw Collective has toured and recorded extensively. The band is highly awarded and regarded in the North of Australia as one of the premier musical shows. Jigsaw Collective are known for their lively and fun performances.

The original music of the act is driven by front man and performer Jack Tinapple and incorporates a host of high musicians including Kim Orchard on slide guitar, Dylan Bennett on drums, Dan Davies on double bass and Kadek Hobman on keys.

The band has just successfully completed their second international tour to Bali and it's third performance at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Biography

Jigsaw Collective maintain an upbeat vibe through jazz and blues influenced tunes that are sometimes serious and sometimes ridiculous but always fun with a healthy dose of the laid back Northern Territory sense of humour.

Jigsaw Collective are heading towards being a nationally reputable jazz-fusion outfit with accolades such as Winner of the International Zildjian Forum Battle of the Bands, Territory Winner of the University Battle of the Bands, showcases at the Adelaide Fuse and Fringe Festivals, headlining the Isotopia Festival in 2007 and performing as the house band for the closing of the Darwin Festival in 2008.

Jigsaw Collective are excellent entertainment for any event from festivals to functions, weddings, parties and anything else where there might be room to groove.

A typical Jigsaw set can be anything from half an hour to three hours depending on the venue requirements and comprise mostly original music of the jazz and blues genres. Longer sets may include covers that are mostly arrangements of jazz standards and traditional blues songs.
