Biography

Before Summer Ames could walk, the independent artist from Dallas was influenced by her grandmother's dusty vinyl albums. They would sit on the floor together sifting through the sounds of Connee Boswell, Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell (to name a few). Today, Summer pieces together her own sound that's truly rewarding to hear. Her pure vocals amplify the intense emotion expressed within her songwriting, and her face tells a story when she performs. Summer’s debut EP, "Complicated Daydream", is a powerful glimpse into her passion for creating music. From the playful and wistful song "Awakening" to the deep and alluring ballad "Capture", her talent for writing music that's compelling, diverse and relatable is evident…and it’s not going unnoticed. Summer recently won an Independent Music Award for her song "Breaking Up The Love Scene". She's currently writing for her first full-length album which she plans to release later this year.
