Artist Information

Biography

With a unique style of eerie vaudevillian music, horror rockers Patron Saint
Of Plagues have grown into something reminiscent of a living, breathing
creature. Given life more than six years ago in Ottawa, Canada, by frontman
Opi Saint, his twisted illusion has taken on a mind of its own. Wielding
infectiously catchy melodies and a macabre aesthetic, Saint's compositions
have been coined "Scary Tales". Drawing inspiration from the nightmare world
he calls "The Dark Place", Saint blurs the thin line between fiction and
reality.

His vision has drawn in a cornucopia of fiendish musicians though. Many of
their lives claimed by a mysterious sickness that Saint playfully deems "The
Infection". When asked how he met the current line-up, Saint retaliates:
"One dark and dreary night I was sitting in a graveyard, singing songs for
wayward ghosts. I raised my head and looked through the heavy fog rolling in
to find three ghouls standing before me. That's when I knew I'd found my
band."

These fiends would become the backbone of Saint's musical phantasm. Dead
Boy; the ghoulish guitarist with a stitched up smile and music theory
running through his veins. Robbie Graves; the bizarre bass player who
exhumes the dead. Bonez; the silent skeleton who beats the drums as only a
corpse can. Opi Saint; the demon possessed songwriter with gravel in his
throat, and fire in his lungs. This phantasmagorical quartet has possessed
infected fans; and filled their minds with story-like visions of ghosts,
murder, and the undead.

Since its inception, Patron Saint Of Plagues has infected the mainstream.
Sharing the stage with acts like The Casualties, The Creepshow, and Woods of
Ypres, their high-octane show captivates audiences. With two full-length
studio albums released and three EPs, they were featured on Rue Morgue Radio
and topped independent radio charts. They have toured parts of Canada and
have a web-presence some may find overwhelming. Love it or hate it, PSOP
spreads like a virus with no sign of stopping. Listener beware, you're in
for a scare!
