Biography

The Word of God tells us in Matthew 18:20 “where two or three are gathered in His name - there He will be.” This verse inspired the naming of this Christian/Gospel mixed trio. 2-R-More is comprised of singers, songwriters, evangelists and ministers of the Gospel. 2-R-More group members come from different denominations with different musical talents. The message delivered through original songs is full of the Gospel and truth and inspired by God. 2-R-More formed in the Spring of 2001 and regrouped in 2006 after a brief leave in 2004.

2-R-More has shared the stage with many of today’s top Christian/Gospel artists including The Nelons, The Divie Echoes, The Anchormen, Gold City, The Kingsmen, The Perrys, Dove Brothers, The Crabb Family, Naomi & the Segos, The Bradys, The Dixie Melody Boys and many more. Their Live DVD is aired by GMT, Family Friendly Entertainment, Gospel Music Today, Dove Broadcasting and many other Independent TV Stations across the United States, Canada and UK both over the internet and regular airwaves. After the accumulative votes came in for 2010 their radio single, “If I Could Life My Life Over” rated #38 overall on the only 100% fan voted chart and their current release "Crying Don't Mean You're Weak" is had reach as high as #13 both as reported by Southern Gospel Times. Their radio singles continue to chart as reported by radio while their songs are being played all over the world on the internet and nationwide over the airwaves.
Their energy, enthusiasm and anointing can best be felt, seen and heard during their live performances. The response to their delivery of the Gospel and truth is overwhelming and it is obvious the Lord is working in and through this group to reach all who will hear. When you see them in person you will also realize the anointing of each member and their works. They don’t stand still when delivering the message. Their true love of their Savior and Lord Jesus Christ will be seen and heard through their actions and songs. This group is real. They are not a put on. Although some will be entertained by this group of devoted servants of the Lord, the members of 2-R-MORE do not go out to entertain but seek to deliver a message from Jesus Christ of faith, hope and love. The group is made up of group members, Hugh C. Culbreth, W. Chad Jackson and Pamela Joan Mahaffey.

Hugh C. Culbreth - his vocal range is from 2nd Bass to 2nd Tenor. Sometimes he takes the lead and at other times he is singing harmony for the group. He has been singing since he was four years old and has played many instruments including the piano, violin, banjo, flute and continues to play the guitar. Growing up, Hugh was the son of a performer and often times sang on stage along with his siblings during his Father’s shows. Hugh is married to Karen and they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Hugh spent a little over three years in the military, serving one year in Vietnam. Hugh’s vision for this group has always been the same, keep Jesus in the forefront and allow God to use 2-R-More to bring the Gospel and truth at any opportunity possible. Hugh also has penned many songs. Some of them are recorded and being performed by the group.

Joan Mahaffey - her vocal range is from 1st Alto to 2nd Soprano. Sometimes she sings the lead and at other time she sing harmony for the group. Joan is married to Hiley Mahaffey who operates the sound for the group at all of their concerts. Together, they have three children, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She began singing at only three years old. Joan shares, “I remember at three when my dad put me up in front of the church to sing “Jesus Loves Me ’” She also has penned a beautiful song titled, “Testimony”. Joan’s ultimate goal in life is to plant seeds for Christ for the coming of the Lord is drawing nigh.

Chad Jackson - his vocal range is from Baritone to 2nd tenor for the group. He also sometimes sings the lead and at other time sings the harmony. Chad is married to Tanya and they have 3 children. For several years they had fostered children. At one time they had four foster children living with them along with one daughter of their own. They have now gone on to adopt two children. One of which is a child of special needs. It takes special parents to take children from outside of their own home and family bringing them into their home and parenting them as their own children. Chad had sung in a solo ministry until joining 2-R-MORE in March of 2001. He has written a couple of songs for the group and has more in his heart to pen. He gives God the praise, honor and glory for all of his talents, gifts and opportunities as He makes the way possible for 2-R-More to share the Gospel through song, witness and testimony.

Setlist

Group uses mostly original songs written by group members but also has a portfolio of cover songs. Group also has some seasonal songs. Group could easily do a program lasting a couple of hours. Original songs are being placed on one or more of our group members heart(s) to write often. Our ministry has taken on a new direction and moving to a new platform since the introduction of our original songs. After completing our second project in November 2006 containing 9 originals and 1 cover, arranged to the group, we have really focused on delivering the Gospel and truth using mostly our own original material. We have since added a new video project and audio project cut from the video containing all originals completed in the spring of 2008. We have now completed another new project of all originals which was released at the end of March 2011. Although the response, reviews and project sales has always been good for the group with the use of original material we are overwhelmed with the overall acceptance and project sales. Right now we have enough originals to do about an hour and a half program of all originals. We still have many originals to be recorded and will do so as time and money will allow.
