Biography
Born in Ohio, Dave moved to Raleigh, N.C. at an early age and has spent the better part of his life there. He started writing songs in High School, directly inspired by his guitar playing parents who sang and played for him for as long as he can remember.
Immediately following graduation, Dave went to college in the mountains of NC where he formed a band Grace, with some fellow students. Grace performed both covers and originals, many penned by Dave. After the semester was over, he moved back to Raleigh and began performing solo acoustic gigs. Soon Dave began to focus on putting together a band, which then led to a recorded project. Inspired by Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, and other roots-rock artists, Dave's vision coalesced into Eudaimonia , an 8 song document of his love for roots music. Eudaimonia was recorded in Raleigh during the Summer of 1998, then mixed and edited on Protools by Chris Stamey (Ryan Adams, Yo La Tengo) at Modern Recording in Chapel Hill during the fall of that same year.
Since returning from a brief move to Hawaii in 2002, Dave has reconnected with his passion for writing and performing music. He's currently working on recording new material for his second release.
Instrumentation
Dave sings and plays both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as piano and harmonica.
