Biography
Cara Cantarella is the songwriter and lead singer/front person for the Denver-based Cara Cantarella Band. Imagine a sound somewhere in the vicinity of Sara Bareilles—folk-infused percussive pop with r&b roots. The group emphasizes an original core of material and performs a wide range of hit covers, too.
Cara's songwriting is the centerpiece of CCB shows, highly influenced by Joni Mitchell but with a contemporary feel (Colbie Callait, Bruno Mars, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz). The sets are built around the band's complex vocals: sweet and sultry woven in with edgy, intense power. But perhaps the most impactful aspect of CCB shows is the live energy on stage. The passion of the moment definitely takes you there!
