"AgapeFest Reference Letter"

May 5, 2010

Greetings,

My name is Chris Emanuel and I am the Director of AgapeFest.

For the past couple of years I have had the pleasure of working with Random Hero at AgapeFest. Random Hero made their first appearance at AgapeFest at our 2009 festival on the second stage and we have loved working with them ever since. Over the last year they have had tremendous growth so we bumped them up onto our main stage. They did far better than any of us expected. Their front man Aaron Watkins got thousands of people involved in their music and message. Literally every single person was jumping and waving their hands to their songs.

The band was also gracious enough to help us out in our rain delay by playing an impromptu acoustic set on our second stage that went over very well.

Many people commented on how nice and outgoing the band was to their fans. I have personally noticed that their priorities on the road are definitely fan based. While many bands hop off stage and jump on the bus, Random Hero goes out of their way to meet their fans and build relationships before and after their sets.

Following the festival we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback about Random Hero on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Besides Skillet, Family Force 5, and the David Crowder Band we got the most hits for Random Hero. The fans speak for the band and I personally think they’re some of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of working with. In addition, the band has a very strong manager Scottie Flint. Scottie is just as easy to work with as the band. Not a single bad apple in the bunch.

I highly recommend Random Hero!

Sincerely,

Chris Emanuel

"Colorado Music Buzz 3/2009"

Sometimes in life, the hardest rockers have the best hearts and strongest work ethics. Take Random Hero, for example. This Denver band formed in 2007, will tear the audience apart with epic Rock anthems that include “Pull the Trigger,” a concoction of power electric guitar, screaming vocals, and gothic chorus in the background to quench one’s thirst for ground-shaking Rock. But despite that ability, these guys are working harder than most to put out new music, tour, appear on an episode of “MADE” with MTV, and most importantly, love on their fans.

Random Hero is also focused on keeping a tight line-up, which currently includes Aaron Watkins’ rocking vocals, Josh Bertrand playing guitar and keys, Derek Arosemena on bass, and lastly Josh Tarrant, drumming. Most recently, the guys have been working with MTV to film an episode of “MADE.” It’s clear they appreciate the experience when they say, “We feel very honored to have been chosen to represent the Colorado music scene. It’s been a ton of work.” Still they all agree, “It’s great to work with MTV.“

Alongside their MTV project, Random Hero is putting together a new album, Fighting A Beautiful Fate, which is set to drop before the end of March and will include 11 songs. Also, the guarantee is quality before quantity as the guys say, ”Think our fans will be very impressed with the final product. We did not want to cut any corners for the sake of getting it out faster.” Indeed, Fighting a Beautiful Fate is sure to be worth the wait, as Random Hero seems to put all their heart into their work.

After the new disc’s release, the band will be doing some touring. Mainly one can find them this spring on the “Live the Dream Tour,” and they forecast other big US Festivals this summer. Their MySpace has all the touring updates, and they plan to keep fans posted on their whereabouts.

Random Hero’s fans do seem to be cherished more than most. The band fully recognizes that: “We definitely could not have accomplished any of this without the amazing support of our fans. It is even more true with the music industry today. Music fans have become much more savvy.” They also know that to retain dedication from fans they “have to be great live and genuinely appreciative of any success, or fans will move on to another band.” While the idea might be true for some, Random Hero seems to be gaining much momentum in terms of a fan base, rather than in danger of losing steam.

"EP Review 11/01/2009"

"Local hero, Random Hero, just pushed out an EP specifically for some big record execs. If this EP is any indication, Random Hero will be Colorado’s next big breakout act. Featuring five songs including their hit “Pull the Trigger,” a song which pretty much captures what they’re about, stadium-rocking anthems, thundering bass/drums, movie-esque keys, and maybe Colorado’s best Metal guitarist, Josh Bertrand. Already playing the big festivals including Van’s Warped Tour, and you may have also caught Josh on MTV’s reality show “Made,” where he tries in vain to coax a young high school wallflower into becoming a Punk-Rock singer to mixed results … I was scared for her. Check Random Hero out now, so you can say, “I knew them when.”

"MAX3 Online Review"

"Random Hero hails from Denver, Colorado. Fairly new to the scene, they are making noise and turning heads every show! From powerful rock ballads and searing guitar anthems to get-down funk/metal grooves that tear the house apart, this ensemble, looking like a badass crew that just escaped The Matrix, will have your heart beating out of your chest faster than the time it takes to say "Follow the white Rabbit." _______Written by: MAX3

Bio

“To be light in the darkness…”

Random Hero has spent three years changing lives through the positive power of music. The band has worked incredibly hard to present meaningful music and a tight energy-charged live show. Along the way, a huge and loyal fan base has showered them with consistent accolades.

In the late summer of 2010, the band was rewarded once again for their hard work when they opened a sold out show for Skillet at Elitch Gardens Amusement Park in Denver, CO. At the conclusion of Random Hero’s set, both John Cooper and Ben Kasica of Skillet approached the band to inquire whether or not the band was signed to a label. Over the following months, Random Hero signed an exclusive production contract with Kasica. “It is a great honor that Ben has chosen to work with Random Hero,” said front man Aaron Watkins. Watkins went on to say, “not only is Ben highly respected for his producing talents, but all the members of Random Hero are huge fans of Skillet.” Pre-production on a number of songs started in September of 2010. On November 1, 2010, the band began recording the new songs at Kasiaca’s, Skies Fall Studios, in Kenosha, WI.

Random Hero has not only been flooded by fan praise, they have also racked up commercial recognition. The band performed on the Vans Warped Tour, and multiple times at Cornerstone Festival, Agapefest, Hills Alive, Heavenfest, and Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. In addition, Random Hero was chosen by MTV to film an episode of “Made”. They have worked with the ESPN X-Games, AMA Motocross, Go Fast Extreme Games, and more.

In 2009 and 2010, Armed Forces Entertainment added Random Hero to the exclusive roster of bands selected to entertain the US Military. The band has performed their song “Guardians of Freedom” for thousands of service members at multiple military bases.

Random Hero has shared the stage numerous times with Skillet, Red, Relient K, Trapt, 3 Days Grace, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Fireflight, David Crowder, Family Force 5, Single File, Emery, Wavorly, Fuel, Hurt, Framing Hanley and many more.

Random Hero finds themselves in a very unique situation with a world-class producer, solid management, widely appealing songs, and a future shining with unlimited opportunity. Guitarist Josh Bertrand summed it all up “We could not be more blessed than to share our music with the world. A true measure of an artists success is the love they receive back from those the music is shared with…and Random Hero feels very, very loved!”
