"..as they pulled into their set, a crowd amassed and they transformed from country to blues to funk and back to country. The crowd dug it, the bartender dug it, and I dug it. Then Condon busted out a harmonica and all hell broke loose. Imagine the Allman Brothers meets the Everly Brothers, throw in the Mario Brothers, and you’d still be in search of the magnitude of the rock they put out."- Jerseycityindependent.com

"We saw the middle of The Embracers set. I really enjoyed their music. They had a southern, folky, rock sound which was very pleasing to the ear. The crowd was really into them. After they finished their set, a large portion of the crowd had left. I was suprised by this since usually a lot of people come to see the main band." - eatsleepbreathemusic.com

"The Embracers are an excellent band from the northern New Jersey/NYC area, and man, they can rock the hell out of a gig...The lead singer gives off a kind of Bob Dylan vibe, both in sound and appearance, which is what intrigued me in the first place. My band played a gig with them a while back in NYC, and we were all stunned after watching their set, which happened to be right before ours. They are a tough act to follow." -tightmixblog.com

Highlights: The Embracers have played to full capacity crowds in several states along their home coastline, and have also been featured acts on multiple festivals alongside several national acts (Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms, Pete Yorn, They Might Be Giants, and several others). The Embracers were spotlighted in Paste Magazine's "Up and Coming Artists" issue, and the band's first single, "Downtown Blues" was featured in the magazine’s sampler CD as well.
