Biography

As a songwriter I have been a part of many projects which is why you will hear so many different styles here.

In the past ten years I have fronted two successful pop/rock bands, recorded an ep with brian deck (iron & wine, modest mouse), started a solo project, had a chinese chicken salad with glen ballard, a lovely meeting with david foster, just about got on the next great american band, got kudos from johnny reznik, scored original music for chicago theatre, created an inner city school music program for national louis university, and most recently written and recorded a song for a FOX pilot.

I am currently playing live shows in southern california and finishing up a new ep with producers colin studybaker and mark cross. don't touch that dial...i'll be right back.

influences include Tom Waits, Wilco, Radiohead, Lucinda Williams, Carol King, The Beatles, and so on and so forth.

  Larson's bright yet heartfelt voice delivers her lyrics over minimalist instrumentation on beautiful cuts such as "Cowboys and Big Skys" and "Weigh Down".
  
  While the music-for the most part-has a traditional country music feel about it, Larson doesn't waste her time with typical country music cliches when it comes to her lyrics. She also strays from simple predictable chord progressions and arrangements giving the listener something to look forward to.
  
  This should place Larson safely in the lofty pantheon of country music songwriters.
