Biography
Motion Theory is an alternative rock band based in England. This award-winning foursome gives exciting high-energy performances of songs that have been described as both 'beautiful and memorable' and 'towering monoliths of rock density'.
They have toured the UK twice and played some major venues in cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and London and have a growing national and international following. They have never played a support slot without being asked back to headline.
Their debut album, 'featherhead' released September 2009, won Manchester Music Record of the Week and the follow-up 2011 release, 'It's not as dark as that friend', was given 5 stars and Record of the Month by Manchester Music.
On the 9th July 2011, the launch show for 'It's not as dark as that, Friend', at the Roadhouse in Manchester, was dubbed "Gig of the Week" by the Manchester Evening News.
4 of the 5 tracks on the 2011 EP have been played by the BBC and the EP has had regular local and national play since its release.
