Artist Information
Biography
Stephanie Joy's exploration of melodies and harmonies with vocals and piano began at age 4. Years of self-motivated sessions provided the base for her hunger to move the hearts of others through music. Early performances polished her abilities and created her natural comfort to perform.
As a mid-teen, her originals advanced her to National Fine Arts Festival events. The originals on her debut solo album 'Stephanie Joy / Inside-Out' were born out of the reality of the challenges teens & others face in this thing called "life". The title cut 'Inside-Out' reflects the reality of the fact that each of us are known inside-out. 'Our Vision', another original on the album, is her heart's cry for the lost and rejected.
Teen and adult audiences find it easy to relate to her lyrics and music. Whether she shares at solo venues, or while accompanied by a band offering a lite-contemporary sound, her seasoned piano, vocal abilities, and comfortable stage presence are obvious.
Stephanie Joy is answering her call to help people out of tough challenges in life and bring them up to a more encouraging level through music that moves the heart.
Pursuing a music degree at a private college in the mid-west, and remaining active as a music leader, Stephanie Joy thrives on outreach through music, making concert events a priority.
Modern influences on her include Sara Groves, Nicole Nordeman, Jeff Deyo, Chris Tomlin & Jason Upton. Take a little time and enjoy refreshing moments with the music of Stephanie Joy!
