Biography
Luna Blu…
Is an eclectic combination of diverse influences that together form a music that defies categorization. Nan Mosinski brings her folk-rock, singer-songwriter style to the table and when combined with Bassist Jeff Ashcraft’s classical training and Goth-Metal tastes, guitarist and backing vocalist John Bouris’ Progressive Rock leanings, Lead Guitarist Jeff Howatt’s Classic Rock & Blues style, and Drummer Dan Hoch's complex and "tasty" rhythms you get a sound that is uniquely its own and can only be described as...Luna Blu!
Instrumentation
Nan Mosinski - Lead Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, Keys

Discography
Chicago’s own Luna Blu has a new EP featuring “Clumsy Too”, "Captain Oblivious", and "She" (featuring Anne Harris) recorded at Transient Sound Studios and produced by Steven Gillis (formerly of Filter).”Clumsy Too” has spent months in the top 10 on Songvault FM.Com’s Alternative Charts and was selected as a Semi-finalist in the 2009 100% Music Songwriting Competition!
Since 2006 Luna Blu has played venues (such as Fitzgerald's, The Woodstock Opera House, Elbo Room, Doc Ryan's, Penny Road Pub to name just a few) and festivals (Elburn Days, Rockin Rotary Ribfest, McHenry Co. Fair) across the city and the surrounding suburbs.
Most recently Luna Blu has been seen opening up for local Chicago legend Cathy Richardson in her newest incarnation - The Macrodots!
In addition to their original music, they also play a myriad of crowd-pleasing covers as well as more obscure songs by well-known artists which give an audience a fresh, original music experience quite different from any other band.
