Biography

Janie and Joe perform both as a duo and at times with their full-on roots rockin' blues band,MOJO MEDICINE SHOW.
Janie-a vocal powerhouse of blues and soul - often compared to Bonnie Raitt,Susan Tedeschi and Etta James- belts it out and plays keyboards,various percussion instruments and the Bodhran,an Irish goatskin drum. Joe amazes audiences,spellbinding them with his distinct sound and style on numerous acoustic and electric guitars and his unique rippin' approach to slide playing.
They are gifted songwriters able to go from a sparse achingly tender love song to an uptempo sultry blues number and then turn the corner and top that off with rockin' balls-to-the-wall socially conscious tunes that leave the crowd begging for more.
In a world of cookie-cutter,pre-packaged music, their original stone blues sound is relevant and real!
They perform their MOJO MEDICINE SHOW at major Art and Music Festivals,Brew Pubs and Coffeehouses all over the Northwest,Canada,the Southwest and in Ireland.
