Biography
After partaking in numerous bands throughout his musical career, indie producer and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Mongillo grew tired of the trials and tribulations of keeping a group together. Shortly after breaking things off with an unnecessary love interest, he sat down and determinedly completed a debut solo album with songs he'd been tinkering with for up to 2 years, for a project that had been on the back burner for just as long. With nothing to lose but a whole lot of money, he pressed 1,000 copies of the album on his own, and embarked on an eastern United States tour.
The City Skyscape, now getting radio airplay on radio stations across the country, is not going to be slowing down any time soon. With future tours in the works, as well as lots of perseverance, Christopher is hell-bent on making a name for himself and his music. His influences include The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, of Montreal, The Postal Service, The Decemberists, The Bird and the Bee, and Peter Gabriel, to name a few.
