Artist Information
Biography
Marcy’s music is driven by her desire to increase people’s respect for themselves. Her performances are designed to educate and inspire the masses through music, movement, and most of all, laughter. Her performances are thought-provoking and HIGHLY interactive. Her company, Under the Tree, creates children’s music and performances for young audiences in which the kids ARE the show, as they are invited to sing, dance, act, and play just about every instrument under the sun. Marcy also incorporates puppets, costumes, juggling, magic, and improvisational storytelling and songwriting into her shows. Needless to say, her performances are extremely fun and engaging!
Marcy has extensive experience teaching and performing with seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Marcy has had the honor of being the featured performer/face painter at the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation For Autism 5k benefit, has played and entertained at numerous birthday parties and events for individuals on the autism spectrum and has recently had one of her piano students accepted into the Boston Conservatory Autism Program. Marcy is currently in the process of completing her first CD entitled Sapling.
Instrumentation
Marcy Gregoire takes the stage with her blend of folk/funky vocals, acoustic guitar, cello, hand drums, flute, mandolin, and much more. A self-proclaimed tap-dancin', kazoo-playin' virtuoso, marcy gets the kids movin'.
Cyndee Fand is one sweet mamacita. Hand her just about any instrument and she'll make it sound as fresh as the morning breeze. ;-) Add some seriously soulful vocals and mega-love vibe, and you've got yourself a groove.
