Artist Information

Biography

Leah Pritchard's music, performance, and songwriting is a cross between Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson, Kelly Clarkson, and Sammy Kershaw.

Leah has been very busy over the past year. She has recently performed at the Montgomery Jubilee Cityfest opening for The Lost Trailers and Darius Rucker.

Leah was also recently named the 1st winner of Kowaliga Country radio station (97.5 FM) "IDOL" contest in Alexander City, Alabama.

She can be seen performing around the central Alabama area, anywhere from city festivals to local weddings. She appeared on a local TV program, which featured her on their "Front Porch" and "Barnyard Jamboree" episodes.

Leah was also one of the 64 finalists in the recent CMT.com "Music City Madness" contest for her performance of "City Lights." (original song)

Leah finished recording her first demo CD at Guest House Studios in Eclectic, AL in April 2009. George McCain (Nashville Promoter and Mayor of Tallassee, AL) introduced her at the CD Release party.

Leah is a singer, songwriter, and accomplished performer. Growing up in central Alabama, country music was one of the constants in Leah’s life. From Hank Williams and Alabama, to the more modern Miranda Lambert and Sammy Kershaw, Leah was most influenced by the pure simplicity of their songs, but had heart, soul, and deep-rooted emotion. However, this does not mean that she doesn’t have any rock and roll in her, because when the feeling hits her, a little rock and roll will also pour from her soul and spill into her songs.

Leah's philosophy is: "Country music is about simple songs written from the heart and come from life experiences."
