We were extremely impressed by the level of talent on display and want to congratulate everyone who has become a semi-finalist. The next step is that the group of semi-finalists will be narrowed down to the finalists who will be sent to our celebrity judges. Finalists will be announced on July 19. Winners will be announced in August. The Village is a 4 member (3-brothers and a friend), band. It began in 2008 and they quickly made their way from a small local band playing in coffee shops and wineries, to joining the line-ups in several great festivals including, the Yakima County 4th of July Celebration 2009 & 2010. Also performed in the line-up with Jeremy Riddle, Jamie Lee Thurston, Short Bus Bobby and Johnny Diaz. Spring 2010 they opened for Gary Puckett and the Union Gap at Union Gap's Old Town Days. Additionally, the band orchestrated a county wide campaign called: A Million Apples For Haiti which sold donated apples from Yakima's generous farmers to provide 4 homes for families in Haiti after the devastating earthquake as well as a large fund-raising concert. They also reached Top Ten Finalist in The Blackbird Song Competition 2010 for their song Falling Together, 2nd Place in the Unsigned Category for their song All This Time and top 10 in the teen category of the prestigious International Songwriting Competition for the song, Dear Destiny.
You'll find them touring all over the West coast throughout 2012 - see calendar.
The band plays originals and covers of many styles from rock to funk to soft acoustic numbers. Landon and Riley's introspective lyrics combined with the fun energy of the rest of the brothers creates memorable live performances and unforgetable melodies that keep the listener humming over and over.

Along with drummer Alex Fleischer, the cute-as-a-button folk-pop trio are Yakima's own teen hybrid version of Jack Johnson/Brett Dennen and, as you can imagine, they're very popular with teenage girls, says mom and manager Cate Wilkinson. But the boys' catchy, well'played original tunes will also make adults marvel at 15-year-old singer/songwriter Landon's introspective style.
Built out of their Christian beliefs, the band also has a mission: to love and perform music, be good stewards to their community and encourage their peers to volunteer and make the community a better place.

Their original music is positive, upbeat, and lively and yet also communicate simple thoughtful truth. Their style has been influenced by Jack Johnson. Their concerts are fun and provide opportunities for audience interaction. They have played a number of times for our Friday night crowd at NorthTown Coffeehouse and have been well received by our customers. I would highly recommend them.

I have to say that working with you and sharing the stage at Union Gap's Old Town Days was not only fun but inspirational as well. You are a very talented band and you have everything going for you including the family support system necessary for success in this world today.
Your performance was terrific and the rapport you shared with the audience was great to see. I do wish you the best in your musical endeavors and I highly recommend you to any and all concert promoters looking for a great sounding, easy going, up and coming, young concert band.
Keep up the good work!
Your friend and new fan,
Gary Puckett of the Union Gap

They're just kids, really (and they wear their baseball caps at such jaunty angles). But the three Wilkinson brothers, who have recently added Zackary Riel as a fourth member, have been working and getting better. They followed last year's debut album with a new Christmas EP, they've signed with a management company , and they're sset to tour internationally this year. They're growing up, in other words.
The band plays originals and covers of many styles. An appropriate band for weddings, bars, festivals, wineries, private parties, proms, homecomings, churches, Youth Groups and camps, just about any event or venues. The band can change up their set list for just about any atmosphere including dancing, background and listening, acoustic sounds to all-out electric and even christian contemporary music and worship.
There are no upcoming dates at this time.
