PROJECT RELEASE DATE:

JULY 20, 2009 (LISA BYERS' BIRTHDAY)

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

ORIGIN OF "I AM WOMAN" -

Cyberjamz Records' & K.Joy's "I Am Woman" Charity Remix Project, featuring Collective Men & Women United for the Women's Cancer Network, was born out of K.Joy's original unreleased Cyberjamz EP entitled "I Am Woman", featuring her younger sister Raiyn. The original song was written about their mother, Beverly C. Calloway, for a milestone birthday. K.Joy wanted to write a song where every word personified the essence of her mother's strength, perseverance, and overall...her completely phenomenal existence as a woman. Yet, she did not want the song to be so personal that it referred to only her mother, despite her mother being the subject of the lyrics. So, the solution became to create a song that was specific in describing character and quality, while general and powerful enough for ANY WOMAN to be able to relate and embrace the totality of the track. Because it was a birthday gift from child to mother, it only made sense to include her mother's only other child, her sister Raiyn (whose birth name is Mary C. Calloway), and make it a joint gift. What a stunning idea! Raiyn's hypnotically smooth and youthful voice coupled with the mature, soothing vocals of K.Joy's, over Chazz' mesmerizing South African Big Room sound, was EXACTLY what the track needed to make it the next sure-fire anthem for women all over the world!

CREATION OF CHARITY PROJECT TO HONOR LISA BYERS -

Later, K.Joy wanted to somehow honor the memory of their late God-sister, Lisa Byers, who passed away from cancer 4 days before Christmas in 2006 at the age of only 41. To K.Joy, it seemed fitting that a proper way to honor Lisa and the struggle with cancer (which she valiantly and gracefully fought without complaint), would be to dedicate a song to Lisa by giving all of the song's profits to a women's cancer charity. She came up with the idea to add a third verse, which spoke to the strength her God-sister displayed in the face of pain, suffering and death, to the song originally dedicated to her mother. This made more sense than starting all over and writing a completely new song where the entire content was about a topic that is somber in nature, which could have resulted in more of a tearjerker instead of the uplifting anthem that we have today. Although the cancer which snatched Lisa from her loved ones began with breast cancer several years previous to her death, and ended with a different form of cancer, K.Joy wanted to donate the revenue from the remix to a charity that focused on women and the cancers that target their sex (i.e. gynecologic cancers). In her research, ironically she found a charity that not only did exactly that, but also happened to be based out of Chicago, where she and Lisa were both from! Once the Women's Cancer Network of the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation was picked and they approved, the combined effort began with Soul Oasis (owner of Cyberjamz Records), K.Joy & WCN, and was later concluded with the collective efforts of many others.

ENSURING A UNIQUE & SUCCESSFUL PROJECT -

Next, K.Joy was presented with the intrepid task of ensuring the success of the project by making it creatively unique and multi-faceted, so as to have a worldwide impact and appeal. Her solution was to invite 7 other female vocalists, in addition to Raiyn, to be guest singers on the song as well. However, K.Joy was determined that they would NOT be just ANY singers randomly picked out of a hat. Each vocalist picked would have to bring a certain flavor and richness to the song, in order to birth a masterpiece worthy of not only her sister's memory, but for ALL women who have been affected by cancer in some manner.

GOALS FOR THE PROJECT -

K.Joy & Soul Oasis also both wanted to: simultaneously bridge the gap between the Chicago/New York house community by featuring vocalists from both areas; unite various ethnic groups by featuring female artists of different nationalities; bridge the age gap by featuring women of different generations (from 21 on up); unify women who liked and represented more than one genre of music by featuring women who normally sang music other than house music (like R&B, hip-hop, Neo-soul, pop, rock and gospel); and last but not least, to unify both men and women, while bridging the gap between the states and other countries by having male producers & engineers, from both the US and abroad, create the music and run the studio sessions. In doing so, the result became a work of artistry with such varied spice and flavor, that it will undoubtedly become a chart topper with mainstream crossover appeal...hopefully generating THE MOST DONATIONS the Women's Cancer Network has EVER seen from any single account, while simultaneously helping to propel house music even more so out of the underground status it has remained in for so many years.

A COMBINED EFFORT IS BORN -

K.Joy & Cyberjamz Records were fortunate to have an impressive lineup grace this critically important track, ranging from the unknown, to some locally, nationally, and internationally known, to even a very prominent & well known mainstream female Diva whose name is widely recognized outside of dance music. Even more amazing was the fact that EVERYONE who worked on this project DONATED their talent, expertise, time, hard work, sweat, energy and efforts FOR FREE, at the request of K.Joy (and all but 1 of the 7 additional guest vocalists had never met K.Joy in person)!!!! This is the reason that it is entitled "Collective Men & Women United for the Women's Cancer Network", because not only did the female vocalists volunteer themselves, but there were NUMEROUS MEN who donated their efforts for FREE as well, to see this project come to its completion! The producers of each track, along with the studio engineers, the graphic designer of the artwork, the engineer who mastered the tracks, the label owner and even the owners of the site selling the track were all MEN who either donated their time or their money for this cause! There were also other people, both men and women, who indirectly supported the cause by actively searching for the desired vocalists, and making the connections for K.Joy, in order to get all of the pieces of the puzzle together for a fabulous unified canvas of artwork in the end!

HONORING OTHER WOMEN AFFECTED BY CANCER -

Despite the MAIN focus being to honor her sister Lisa's memory, the final wish of K.Joy's for this project was for each vocalist and producer to be able to honor ONE WOMAN of their choice as well, by submitting their name as a designated honoree for the public to be able to donate in that person's name (in addition to being able to purchase the track for charity). K.Joy also added her aunt, Jackie Salter and her grandmother, Robbie Gunn, to the list of honorees since they are both triumphant cancer survivors. Specifically, the names on the honoree list are that of women who have either passed away from, survived, or are currently struggling with cancer of any form. The only requirement is that they had to be female, for the obvious reasons. This makes the project even more of a unified effort, because it then became a personal cause of everyone who submitted a name. For the few who were asked that did not have a name to submit, because they are uniquely blessed not to have known someone personally who was affected by this dreadful disease, they will support the honorees submitted by the others who had a name to give.

With all of these steps put into place, upon the release of the track, on the birthday anniversary of Lisa Byers, people everywhere will have the opportunity to do the following in order to donate money to this worthy cause:

ABOUT THE VOCALISTS:

THE FOLLOWING LINE UP LIST OF FEMALE GUEST VOCALISTS IS IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE ON THE ACTUAL REMIX:

1. RAIYN - (Appears courtesy of Pure Innergy Recordings, LLC - http://www.pureinnergyrec.com)

Raiyn, like the word “rain” that her name emulates, gives an abundance of pure, soulful, and strong vocals that some would not expect to come showering from one who started out so young. Raiyn’s musical repertoire is diverse in that she has mastered singing in various styles and genres of music, ranging from gospel to classical to hip-hop, R&B and now house music. She has won numerous competitions, to include All State Choir, several talent contests, and in 2003, she was featured on a local broadcast of “Kentuckiana Idol” as well. Raiyn has received immense support in recent years from her sister, K.Joy, whose leadership and expertise has helped to guide Raiyn in her efforts to perfect her musical craft. Although "I Am Woman" is Raiyn's freshman recording, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with nonetheless.

2. DAJAE - (Appears courtesy of Cajual Records - http://ChicagoSoundSource.com)

Chicago native Dajae is one of the undisputed vocal queens of house music. Dajae states she has been singing since she came out the womb. Her gift comes from her dad who sings duwop even today. Dajae learned how to sing by listening to the radio, 45's and LPs artists such as Aretha, Patti, Minnie, and Natalie. She took a little from the amazing techniques of each artist and applied it to her own unique style. Appearing on the house music scene in the early nineties, she was one of the key drivers in the success of the Cajual label, linking up with renowned producer Cajmere to make classics such as "Brighter Days", "U Got Me Up" and "Is It All Over My Face?" Dajae has constantly been in demand as a vocalist since then, and two years ago the Junior Sanchez produced “B With U” was the debut release on Roger Sanchez’ R Senal Label, and later licensed to Manifesto Records for the UK. The last two years have arguably seen her produce the finest performances of her career. The E-Smoove produced “Time”, signed to Credence Records, was closely followed by the summer anthem “Everyday”. This anthem was a collaboration between Felix da Housecat and Junior Jack, released by Defected. To cap both, she teemed up with Full Intention to make “What Do You Want?” the most successful release so far from Essence. Unlike many of her peers in dance music, Dajae puts on a great show, as those at the Autumn 2001 Southport Weekender can testify – her only UK performance in recent years. Currently in Chicago working with producers Harrison Crump and Ron Carroll, Dajae’s most recent cut was another peach for Essence: the supremely soulful “Searchin” produced by Harrison Crump and remixed by Felix da Housecat and CR Project.

3. LIBBY JONES - (Independent Artist - http://www.myspace.com/mirandasoul)

Foregoing the limelight, Libby Jones prefers to be in constant study in the "art" of singing, always fine-tuning her instrument—her voice. Born in Colquitt, Georgia, Libby later moved with her family to Newark, New Jersey. As a youth, Libby loved music, expressing interest in such singers as Diana Ross, Minnie Riperton, Eddie Kendricks Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, & Rock artists such as Pat Benetar. In 1992, Libby sang on the 18+ singer-led powerhouse tune, "Call Him Up" by the Voices of 6th Avenue, released on the world renowned Newark, NJ-based dance music label, Ace Beat Records. From there, Libby was the opening singer on the "What's On His Mind" project, a tune dedication to Tony Humphries that featured dance music's brightest stars: Jovonn, Ultra Nate, Darryl D' Bonneau, Burrell, Alexis P. Suter, Dee Dee Brave, and Jazmina. She later recorded a song with Kevin Hedge of Blaze and Josh Milan entitled "Time After Time" released on Movin Records in 1993. It received a warm response and is considered a cult classic among 90's House music collectors. After leaving Ace Beat, Libby, along with Trez Monk, Eloise Green and Lori established the gospel group, Higher Power, which later took a short hiatus. Some time thereafter, while serving as Artistic Director of the African Globe Music Lab, she helped establish Headline Records, working as head of Artist Development. While recording was on the back burner for Libby, John Crockett and Charles Gatling were putting together a production company called Working Underneath. Luring her back, she recorded for the duo: "I Am The Wind” released on Siesta Recordings and "Speak To Me" signed to Phuture Sole Recordings. Both tunes received rave reviews in the underground dance scene. Currently, she is working with DJ/Producer Joe Flame. He launched D#Sharp Records and released two of Libby’s projects, “I’m So Grateful, and “The Healing Train”, which were both penned by Libby, who feels that through her lyrics she can speak to the hearts of the international family to uplift, encourage and inspire people to be the best they can be in this world. Her goal is to saturate the industry with beautiful music that touches people and motivate them to re-evaluate how they see themselves in the Great Divine Plan of God.

4. MARTHA WASH - (Appears courtesy of Purple Rose Records - http://www.martha-wash.com)

She is the heart and soul of dance music. Her timelessness and renowned presence has been instrumental in shaping popular music as we hear it today. However, like many artists, Martha has felt the ups and downs of the roller coaster-like music industry. From being the uncredited powerhouse vocalist behind C+C Music Factory's classic "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)", to seeing her debut solo single "Carry On" reach the #1 spot - in her own name - Martha has unquestionably made her mark in music history. Beginning her musical journey in the late 70's as one half of the disco group Two Tons of Fun, Martha found herself singing with the incomparable Sylvester. Twenty-some years later, fans still speak of how extravagant and over the top their shows were! In the early 80's, the Two Tons proudly declared, "Hi, we're your Weather Girls" and a new talent emerged onto the scene. As part of the Weather Girls, Martha scored a Grammy Nomination for a song that was destined to become a cult classic. Yes, “It's Raining Men” – the original version that confirmed it was time to leave your umbrellas at home, rip off the roof and stay in bed. Martha continued to sing with the Weather Girls until the late 80's when she felt it was time to move on to the next tenure of her career. Into the early 90's, Martha became one of the most sought after session singers and soon found herself recording for numerous acts - Seduction and C+C Music Factory to name a few. From "You're My One and Only (True Love)" to the already mentioned "Everybody Dance Now", Martha was all over radio airwaves and had club-goers moving to her distinct vocal styling. However, riding high on the charts soon found turmoil for Martha. Her lead vocals on five singles helped to put the group Black Box on the music map. "Everybody Everybody", "I Don't Know Anybody Else" and "Strike It Up" were among their biggest hits – all of which still receive airplay some 15 years later. However, as this new era of dance music set in, she saw herself being replaced in music videos and promotional pictures by a “more marketable image”. Martha eventually received the recognition that was way overdue. Nevertheless, many wondered if she could really make it on her own. A challenge Martha was up for - she was about to prove that she was destined for solo success! In 1993, Martha took control of her voice with her first solo, self-titled project. The CD, "Martha Wash", produced three #1 dance singles. "Carry On", "Give It To You", and "Runaround" all sky rocketed to the top of the Billboard charts. Martha appeared on numerous television shows to promote the album, including The Arsenio Hall Show where she opened the night singing "Everybody Dance Now". There was no longer any doubt what had made earlier groups so successful. It wasn't the “more marketable image” but rather Martha's incredible sound. In 1997 Todd Terry called upon Martha and teamed her up with Jocelyn Brown. Their immense talents helped take his "Keep On Jumping" and "Something's Going On" singles to the number one spot. Having hit singles with her own name attached was something that Martha was now beginning to grow accustomed to and it wasn't going to stop there. Success continued to follow Martha with her second solo CD in 1997. “The Collection” featured highlights from her twenty year long career as well as new singles, "Come", "Catch The Light", and "It's Raining Men...The Sequel" which featured Martha singing alongside Rupaul. Martha then collaborated in 2000 with Small Voices Calling on their “Sounds Of A Better World” CD - a project that would benefit a variety of charities, which find innovative ways of supporting children in their environment. "Listen To The People" saw her riding high on the charts once again and captured audiences worldwide with its' positive message of hope and inspiration. Also, Martha has done considerable charity work over the years especially in the area of HIV and AIDS prevention. She is requested on a regular basis to help raise funds for local and national organizations. Martha's most current project is one that is extremely close to her heart. In 2004, she began her own record company, Purple Rose Records, and immediately saw the first single, "You Lift Me Up" soar high into the top 5 on Billboard Magazine's Club Play Chart. She is currently recording material for her upcoming project, which she says, will be "inspirational and uplifting". It's been a long and bumpy road for Martha; however, she continues to spread a positive message to unite people worldwide. Whether she is belting out a house groove or delivering a church-inspired gospel piece, you can be sure that her music will capture your attention and take it's place in music history!

5. TRIZONNA McCLENDON - (Appears courtesy of 4 The Soul-Reciprocity Inc. -http://www.trizonnamcclendon.com)

Lush, relaxed tones, with a closeness that almost sounds as if the vocalist is sitting inside your speaker, is the best way to describe the Trizonna McClendon sound. Whether you consider her music Soul, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country, Alternative, Rock or Pop doesn’t matter to Ms McClendon as long as you’re listening. As far as inspiration, Trizonna is inspired by the legendary to the latest and will be the first to admit to having a very eclectic ear in regards to her personal taste in music. Her wide range of music appreciation can be attributed to her Midwest upbringing. Chicago, the place she calls home, is widely known for its roots in Blues and Jazz but is also the place where House music was born. Growing up in a city geographically situated in such a central location on the map has truly shaped Trizonna as an artist which was evident on her 4 The Soul-Reciprocity Inc. debut release Overtones & Innuendos. Her father, a former musician introduced her to a myriad of music as a child and it obviously affected her artistic side. As a songwriter she strays away from trendy writing styles using a more timeless approach with modern day flare, which allows her to put a new spin on familiar topics. Writing and performing is where she finds her solace and between the sheets of the lyrics is a place she yearns to lay for the rest of her days. Music is a powerful tool for communication and Trizonna feels it’s necessary to share through melody, the joy as well as the pain, educate as well as evaluate and live the fantasy as well as the reality. Comfortable in her individuality and confident in her intentions this singer/songwriter realizes her gift to the planet is wrapped in an auditory package for all to enjoy.

6. FLORA CRUZ - (Appears courtesy of Mixtape Sessions – http://www.floracruz.com & http://www.mixtapesessions.com)

Flora Cruz has had a deeply profound journey of life experiences and lessons in which she discovered that her remedy for getting through trials and tribulations was music.
From a young age, Flora knew that she was connected to music in a powerful and spiritual way. Her upbringing in the church played a key role in her musical development. At church, she connected with God through singing and explored genres of spiritual music, adding songs she liked to her collection and repertoire. Over the years, Flora dreamed about producing and writing a type of spiritual music that everyone can be drawn to. She’s an avid journal writer and while waiting for the opportunity to make her kind of music, she wrote her feelings down. In 2007, Flora Cruz teamed up with her brother, DJ/producer Adam Cruz of Mixtape Sessions, and recorded "Beat That Drum," a song born through discussions about religion and church politics. Flora made a bold spiritual move to leave her childhood church where she had grown up musically for over 15 years due to personal crossroads. The experience was both traumatic and painful because Flora didn't receive the support that she was hoping for from people within her inner circle, but the music eased her pain. However, she continued recording and used those journal entries to develop powerful lyrics and fantastic songs such as: “Overcome”, “No Regrets” and “Let the Sunshine Out.” Released on record label Mixtape Sessions in February 2008, the result of those recordings was a collection of songs aptly titled the “Overcome” EP; a beautiful summation of an emotional journey of friendships lost and hard lessons learned. She knows that she was made with a divine purpose and plans on working hard to do all that she can to impact this world with her music. Currently hard at work on her forthcoming debut album, “Dulce Melodia” (‘Sweet Melody’), she continues to write with her brother, Adam Cruz, and record music with an uplifting message that speaks to everyone around the world.

7. SCREAMIN' RACHEL - (Appears courtesy of Phuture Trax Records - http://www.screaminrachael.com)

Billboard Magazine has named Screamin’ Rachael the Queen of House Music! She launched the Hip House sound, two years before anyone else thought of laying rhymes to a house groove. According to CAB, “Fun with Bad Boys” established Screamin' Rachael and her posse as the undisputed originators of hip house when she recorded it with her mentor and friend, Afrika Bambaataa. "Fun with Bad Boys" was made in New York, so purists might be upset to find the Chicago sound taken so far a field (despite other tracks originating from London and Washington, DC)... but this includes plenty of it's further stylistic stretches and excesses. Born Rachael Cain - Rachael's collaborations with notable artists including, THE LEGENDARY GODFATHER OF FUNK GEORGE CLINTON, Bambaataa, Marshall Jefferson, Colonel Abrams, Grandmaster Melle Mel and others has resulted in a string of hits such as "Real Thing" and "Rock Me" which have made her club royalty. According to Chicago Social Magazine: "Rachael's show [in] Manhattan with her band proved that house has a future on the concert stage. Her house hits sounded even grittier and more powerful live as she pushed her formidable bluesy voice to its limit...into hard rock territory." Screamin’ Rachael has been the subject in a number of books, documentaries, and films including “The History of House Music”, “Nightclubbing”, “The Last Party”, “Techno Style” and the recent Hollywood release, “Party Monster”. On "Don't Make Me Lonely", Rachael returns to her strong Chicago alternative roots by working on the production with Van Christie of Die Warzau, whose sound stretches the limits of house with its electronic textures and homage to acid. Jere McAllister/Mr. Ali brilliantly executes the house mix, while the extended mix by DJ Crash & Collinois is banging! Best said by East Coast Rocker: Screamin' Rachael introduced Europe to the sound that has changed the face of dance music and was the first artist of this genre to be signed to a major European label (Teldec). To many, this current President of Phuture Trax Records/sultry blonde electric Scream Diva is the foremost female proponent of House music!

8. CAROLYN HARDING - (Appears courtesy of Deep Haven Music - http://carolynhardingmusic.net & http://deephavenmusic.com)

Born in Burderop Park, England to Robert and Della Harding, Carolyn's vocal career started in 1977, a student at Roosevelt High School, Roosevelt, Long Island. While busy doing community plays and concerts; Carolyn was discovered by a lady named Lori Butler. Lori became manager and took Carolyn under her wing and help to develop the studio professionalism that Carolyn still holds strong today. Later, balancing a production deal and the New York school of Theatrical Arts, Carolyn landed a job with Disney World. Under the strict guidance of a very talented team of directors, stage managers, musicians, stylists, dancers and entertainment executives Carolyn developed and grew into a well-polished performer. Brother Ricky introduced Carolyn to Dance Music in 1986. He was an original member of the famed Paradise Garage. As did many of the key players in dance music at that time, Ricky (her biggest fan) passed away in 1991. In his memory Carolyn vowed to have a dance record released every year. She has done that and more. Some producers include Winston Jones, Dave Shaw, Joey Negro, Seamus, Deep Zone, Soul Solution, FUKUTOMI, and Shinji Takeda among others. Carolyn has recorded for many of the top Dance Labels in the U.S. and abroad. Her records have climbed to the tops of numerous charts across the world. Some of her earlier works include background vocals for Sal Soul Orchestras, Jocelyn Brown, Little Louis Vega to name a few. Carolyn has performed in many countries for thousands of adoring fans. She has shared the stage with such greats as Phyllis Diller, Little Richard, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Shannon, Gwen Guthrie, Sylvester, Thelma Huston, Shirley Bassey, Jeff Krasner, Herb Williams and so many more. Carolyn has had the honor of performing as one of the Shirelles. She has created an enormous following in the dance market worldwide. Harding's first love has always been Jazz and Blues. Her repertoire expands decades also including R&B, Pop, Gospel, Island, Jewish, Italian, Irish and other ethnic specialties. 2003 Carolyn was in the studio much of the year collaborating with Jazz impresario Al MacDowell on several production efforts. The first single "What is Love" was release early in 2004 on Gossip Records. Also that year named the ultimate Star Seeker Winner by Norwegian Cruise Line, Carolyn has been sailing the high seas performing for thousands of guests throughout the Caribbean as a headlining act on the main stage. In 2005 Carolyn recorded a few tracks for Randy Muller of Plaza Records, featured on the well-known hit High, High, High Currently, Carolyn has recorded her latest musical effort produced and written with her brother BeWise (Bobby), "All Because of You" on Deep Haven Music. 9. K.JOY - (Appears courtesy of Pure Innergy Recordings, LLC - http://www.pureinnergyrec.com, http://www.sonicbids.com/kjoymusic & http://cyberjamz.com)

The last and final voice you hear on this song is none other than K.Joy's! Born in Chicago under the birth name Kimberly Joy Salter (a.k.a. Kim Sutter), K.Joy started singing at the tender age of five and it didn't take long for the precocious singer to attract attention. Later, in elementary school, she played piano for five years and sang in the Chicago Children's Choir for three years, which granted her the opportunity to share her musical gift around the world. It was then that she realized how much she loved to perform. At Kenwood Academy, she won first place in a high school talent show coordinated by known mentor Lena Mclin (to Chaka Khan, R.Kelly and others) beating out now multi-platinum recording artist R.Kelly, who came in second place. She attended Northwestern University and immediately joined the renowned Northwestern Community Ensemble. As a member of NCE, K.Joy was lead vocalist for many songs featured in concert while on tour with the choir in the U.S. While a student at NU, K.Joy wrote the lyrics/melody & recorded her first Billboard Top Music Charts - Hot 100 HOT DANCE CLUB PLAY hit: "LIKE THIS", which peaked at 15 during 11 weeks on the chart. This was the illustrious beginning of K.Joy's legendary career in the music business. She opened for acts such as Roy Ayers, touring all over the U.S. and performing at places such as the legendary Paradise Garage in New York, where the famous resident DJ was the late Larry Levan. "LIKE THIS" is a classic house music anthem still being played in dance clubs both in the U.S. and overseas, as well as in radio rotation all over the world today. Later in her career, K.Joy became lead singer for the band Complete Desire, which opened up for the legendary 60's group, The Mighty Tams, and toured throughout the U.S. As a result of her varied musical experiences, she became more diverse, which continues to compliment K.Joy as she hones her craft. Not only is she a phenomenal artist, lyricist and arranger, but also her vocal range is evident in her experience as lead vocalist for various Gospel and Classical Choirs, as well as Dance, Jazz, Blues, and R&B bands around the country. Being multi-talented, K.Joy began to later explore her roots in hip-hop as a rapper. She was a featured artist on The HolyWar Records compilation CD under the artist name Saran (Swahili for "Joy"), which was derived from her legal name change to Nia Saran Adero. On this compilation, not only did she provide background vocals for two of the other artists featured, but also wrote, arranged, rapped, and sang vocals for her single "Betta Way". K.Joy is currently working with various legendary producers all over the globe, for the continuous Soul Oasis (DJ SammyRock) and Cyberjamz Records release (in collaboration with Pure Innergy Recordings, LLC) of numerous HOT singles, some of which will be featured on the future release of her FABULOUS dance collection: THE UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE VOL I & II. Today, K.Joy can be seen at the hottest clubs and venues around the world! Although House Music is her current focus, her sound is versatile & refreshing, her horizons inclusively as a songwriter, arranger, & artist are broad & her talent is MASSIVE!

Born in a distinctively Puerto Rican neighborhood of Lincoln Park Chicago, Ricardo was named after famous Nuyorican salsero Ricardo Ray. After major Puerto Rican displacement (urban renewal), Ricardo’s parents settled in the Noble Square section of West Town for many years ... thus the origin of the name Noble Square Recordings, Ricardo's own label based out of Chicago. ABOUT THE MASTERING ENGINEERS:

RODNEY MILLS MASTERHOUSE - (http://rodneymills.com)

Rodney Mills (Mastering Engineer)

Rodney Mills is an American mastering engineer in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been involved in the music industry for over 40 years and has earned over 50 gold and platinum records for engineering, producing, and mastering. A native Georgian, Rodney began his music career in 1962 playing bass for The Bushmen. During his seven years with the group, Rodney became intrigued with recording music and actively started pursuing a career as an engineer in 1967. In 1968, Rodney became chief engineer at Lefevre Sound Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. During his three years there, he engineered records for several local and national acts ranging from gospel, country, R&B, rock, and everything in between. Some of the artists he worked with there included Joe South, Billy Joe Royal, Dennis Yost and the Classics IV, The Meters, The Stamps Quartet, James Brown, The Winstons, Mylon LeFevre, and scores of other projects. One of his first engineering projects included recording a 45rpm single for a Washington, D.C. based gospel group called The Winstons. The single for the group, titled "Color Him Father", went on to sell over 500,000 copies (RIAA certified gold) and won a Grammy Award the same year for Best R&B Song. The B-Side of the 7" vinyl single was an up-tempo instrumental rendition of an older gospel music classic titled "Amen Brother". This song included a 4 bar drum solo played by Winstons drummer G.C. Coleman, which years later was to become known as the famous "Amen Break". Since then, this beat has been sampled by many artists including 2 Live Crew, N.W.A., Heavy D, Salt-N-Pepa, Scarface, Schoolly D, Nine Inch Nails, Oasis and Prodigy and has spawned entire musical genres such as Jungle and Acid. In 1970, Rodney was approached by Buddy Buie to build a studio for him and become the chief engineer there. He co-designed and oversaw the construction of the famous Studio One in a suburb of Atlanta, Doraville, Georgia. For the next sixteen years, Rodney worked almost exclusively in this studio on numerous projects for different artists and clients. During his tenure at Studio One, Rodney worked with numerous artists as engineer and later as producer/engineer. The list includes: B. J. Thomas, The Atlanta Rhythm Section (11 albums), Lynyrd Skynyrd (4 albums), 38 Special (7 albums), Outlaws, Journey, Eric Martin, Helix, and many other albums and projects. In 1986, Rodney left Studio One to continue his career as a producer independent of any studio. Since then, he has produced records for 38 Special (2 albums), Gregg Allman (2 albums), Cruzados (2 albums), The Radiators (2 albums), The Doobie Brothers (2 albums) and several other projects. In 1989, Rodney produced Billboard Magazine's number one Adult Contemporary Song of the Year with 38 Special's "Second Chance". In 1994, Rodney formed "Rodney Mills' Masterhouse", a mastering service in Atlanta. Since then, he has mastered thousands of projects for national and regional acts including Pearl Jam, The Wallflowers, Collective Soul, Kentucky Headhunters, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Bonecrusher, Unk, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, Pylon (band), September Hase, K.Joy and others. 1996 was a special year for Rodney, as he was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. The annual black tie event held at the Georgia World Congress Center honors Georgians in the music business. Along with the acceptance of this most prestigious award, he was enshrined in the Hall of Fame building in Macon, GA. among other notable inductees including Ray Charles, Lena Horne, James Brown, Bill Lowery, Buddy Buie, Little Richard, Gladys Knight, Joe South, TLC, R.E.M. and many others. Rodney has also served on the Board of Governors for NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Science), and has served on several committees and panels for their Music In The Schools program. This organization is responsible for the nomination and voting of the Grammy Awards, one of the highest honors awarded for excellence in music.
