Brennan Stoelb

Genre: Americana
Secondary Genre: Singer/Songwriter Jasper, Indiana USA Contact

"The songs are delicate, perfect poetry married to a very natural and honest musical feel. They have a lonesome appeal that is Indiana folk at it's finest. He sings with a lot of experience to be twenty five years young." Gary Allen-(Charlie Daniels Band, JJ Cale, Stonewall Jackson)

Biography

By Jessica Brandhorst(Nashville BMI)-

Brennan Stoelb's songs bring a genuine nature, which is welcomed in today's world of songwriting. Channeling the rawness of Bob Dylan and the sensitivity of John Denver, Stoelb's songs leave the listener enthralled.

The fascination with the craft of songwriting has long captivated Brennan. Ever since listening to his parents’ records as a child, he has wanted to play music. He quips that the writers said, “so much, but said it in a simple way.” And it was in that simplicity that Brennan began writing songs at 16 years of age. Brennan quickly formed his first band and began to play festivals, fundraisers, coffeehouses and backyards throughout his home state of Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

In early 2009, Brennan recorded his first CD called, “Shipwrecks and Troubled Minds.” Brennan recorded and produced the record at his own, “Dockside Studios.” The single “American Girls” has received extensive radio play throughout Brennan’s home state.

To date, Brennan has won accolades from the Woody Guthrie Folk Contest as well as inclusion on the soundtrack for the Tom Fischer documentary, “Kentucky Bourbon.” In 2009, he won third place in Gary Allen’s (Charlie Daniels Band, JJ Cale) Best Song in the World contest.

Spending time in New Mexico inspired Brennan to write and records a new album called, “Tumbleweed.” The new CD reflects Brennan’s growth as a singer and songwriter.

Brennan’s songs are as diverse as the genre he proudly inhabits, Americana.
