Biography

Originally formed in 2007, 3 Pint Harmony has come to be known as one of the most exciting, avant-garde bands in the local music scene today—Celtic or otherwise. The fresh take on Celtic/Irish Rock should come as no surprise, as the band has roots all over the world -- Ireland, Scotland, Finland and beyond. They have come together in St. Petersburg FL to create and perform their genre bending Celtic/Rock/Folk fusion.

Expanding the definition of "Celtic" the band uses the unconventional pairing of flame throwing, bow hair splitting, rosin clouding fiddle with the wail and crunch of electric guitar and bass. They are fortunate to have multi instrumentalists in the band and use this to their advantage to create some brilliant arrangements of traditional tunes and original compositions.

The band is influenced by and often covers such Celtic Rock style bands as Flogging Molly, Enter The Haggis, Dropkick Murphy's, Seven Nations, Young Dubliners and Great Big Sea to name a few.

3 Pint Harmony is most known for its' live shows, with unstoppable grooves and multi-layered rhythms, the music dares you to stand still. The band is uproarious, tuneful, stimulating and above all entertaining. Their live shows are filled with an infectious energy; even die-hard fans of purely traditional Celtic music have embraced the band’s genre-bending sound.

3 Pint Harmony has toured in the Southeast and has been chosen to perform with the Celtic Rock powerhouse "Enter The Haggis", "Albannach", "Rathkeltair", "Seven Nations" and the nationally renowned mainstream group "Less Than Jake". 3 Pint Harmony released their first CD "Thru The Drinking Glass' in 2012.

  On Friday, check out 3 Pint Harmony at Three Birds Tavern, 1492 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg. "Outside, under the stars, great pour of Guinness, live Irish Rock!" says Hargiss. The show starts at 8 p.m. Free.
