Biography
Spring had just shaken off the last chills of winter and most eyes had already begun looking towards the summer of 2012. Surely its warmth would welcome boats and bathing suits, cold drinks and plenty of memories. But there sat three bandmates, their minds wandering a different path of thought. A key member of their hard rock group, Hydrashock, had moved away unexpectedly and they had been on musical hiatus for almost a year now.
Burnt out on the heavy rock scene and down a member, Joe Glaser, Nick Snow, and Aaron Cordell set out that day to redefine their music and reach out to a new, expanded audience. The result was a fusion of acoustic rock, folk, and backwoods country.
At times, one might call it "swamp folk." Songs tell tales of wrestling alligators and canoe trips gone wrong, all set to a rock soundtrack with its roots in outlaw country. Influences range from Tom Petty and Alice in Chains to Bobby Mackey and other classic country artists.
No Sorrow does also have a modern side; acoustic-driven rock with pop sensibility and powerful harmonies. Listener-friendly sound meets thoughtful lyrics, creating a musical message for the masses just asking for mainstream radio play.
While songwriting and performing original music is the main focus of the band, you can also catch No Sorrow paying the bills playing 10 pm to 2 am at your favorite local bars. No Sorrow cover shows are upbeat and consistently energetic with sets full of songs that keep the crowd on its feet and singing along.
Maybe original music is your thing, or maybe you prefer to have a few drinks and work on your backing vocals ... Either way, No Sorrow is your band.
