Biography
Based out of Houston, Texas, Devil Killing Moth is a three piece acoustic rock band that sets no limits. The sound is original, spacey, and deep. Anton's guitar effects, Ryan's moonish drum style and Dan's vocal melodies elicit one to pause and create their own interpretation of the music.
We all three share a similar influence in bands that have pioneered their own sound. Talking Heads, Arches of Loaf, Hendrix, American Steel, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Velvet Underground, Crooked Fingers, Likki Li, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Nick Drake, Rodriguez, Clutch, RadioHead, Dr. Teeth and Electric Mayhem, Captain Beefheart, and Yes.
Performing live at venues in Houston, Katy, Corpus Christi, Austin,TX and New Orleans,LA. Their newly released debut album with drums,"Once I Used to Dream", was released August 2012.
Since the album's release, Devil Killing Moth has appeared on Houston's Alternative Scream TV show, and has received airplay on award winning Local Live Radio, KPFT, WTUL along with festivals and events happening in Houston such as Lights in the Heights, Counter Crawl and Free Thinkers benefit show.
