Biography
With a name like Bacchanalian Bliss, you already know you are dealing with something out of the ordinary. Bacchanalian Bliss is a Ska band from Laredo, Texas that started in the summer of 2007. When people first hear the name, their initial reaction is to make a face of confusion and ask to hear it again. Once people hear the name again and connect it to the band, it is a name that they won’t forget.
Bacchanalian Bliss consists of four males and one female all from Laredo, Texas. In a local music scene that isn’t exactly full of life, Bacchanalian Bliss has been able to make an impact and give the music scene a much needed breath of fresh air. They have been able to make a name for themselves by playing all kinds of local bars, venues, events, and contests. They have played many shows and festivals, performing with such acts as Nine Days, Chase Long Beach, and Grupo Fantasma.
Their live show is one that isn’t easily forgotten. With pounding drums, shredding guitar, grooving bass, blaring horns, and soaring vocals, Bacchanalian Bliss makes quite an impact on the listener. Their stage presence can really light up a stage and compliment their music. Don’t let their comical stage banter fool you, these are serious musicians that want to be taken seriously.
They are a rowdy fun bunch of friends who have a passion for music and are spreading their own version of Ska to anyone that will listen. Bacchanalian Bliss has proven that they are here to stay and nothing will get in their way, so keep an eye out for this group because they are shaking up the music scene.
