Biography

Tattoo the Devil is an avant garde metal band from Chicago, IL, USA. The band consists of Lance Ferrel on lead vocals, Christopher Dizzy Lee on guitars and backing vocals, Dominick Camillo on guitars, Mario Camillo on bass, Chris King on Drums and Zak Auble on keyboards, accordion and synth.

Since the formation in late 2010 the band has released an EP entitled “The Descent EP” which features 3 songs from the debut full length record slated to be available in 2012.

Their sound is a blend of alternative rock, classical music, prog, metal, latin, and progressive rock. Usually the guitars and piano are the driving force of the music, often with the strings and synth providing an extra layer to the song, and synth/guitar unisons. The bass guitar is a fretless bass and gives the music something not typically heard in popular metal and rock, allowing the music to have a bit of fusion to the mix. The lyrics and vocal melodies are operatic and lend themselves very well to the epic themes of a lot of the songs.
