Biography

My name is Angel Ricardo Perez. A product of the mid 60s in California and Arizona, my influences include Elvis and the Beatles, Johnny Cash, George Strait and many others. I have been writing and performing original material since my preteen years.

Performing live comes naturally for me, and audiences respond with excitement whenever I introduce a new piece. The depth and breadth of my writing comes from my life experiences as a family man and an American Soldier, having served 15 months of combat duty in Iraq. This duty changed my life in many ways, including my family dynamics and depth of life experiences, and influenced my music greatly. While deployed, I wrote and performed for my fellow Soldiers, as we partook and witnessed tumultuous life-changing events in the land of stone and sand, a world away from home.

I write songs to relay my life experiences to others, while holding close to my children, family, friends, and fellow Soldiers. My music is a testament to the life Americans aspire to live, and dedicated to the lives our American Soldiers place on hold, so that others may enjoy the American dream.

Regardless of our past, our present or what the future holds, we must continue to live our life with No Regrets, and enjoy the music. I hope my music inspires you.

Setlist

I tailor my sets on venue and the crowd. I typically play 45 minute sets, with balance of original and cover songs, including Country, Rock and Latin.
