Biography
The Lives of the Monster Dogs is a rock band with a southern drawl.
The Lives of the Monster Dogs took their name from a book, a modern-day Frankenstein tale written by author, Kirsten Bakis. Much like the stitching together of many different parts to make "the monster", this band's creation is rock music. Drawing from the deep well of blues and country music tradition of the south, The Lives of the Monster Dogs bring something raw and essential to life
The Lives of the Monster Dogs have worked with producer Don McCollister, owner and operator of Nickel and Dime Studios, who has been awarded multiple gold records for his talent, and with Dede Vogt, a musician/producer who has been a fixture in the music scene for more than 20 years and has done a bit of everything, from performing as a musician in the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" to recording and producing the Indigo Girls. In 2010, The Lives of the Monster Dogs competed in a nation-wide contest sponsored by OurStage and placed in the top five, out of thousands of other bands and solo performers. The Lives of the Monster Dogs are part of regular rotation on internet radio stations, "Women of Substance Radio", "Acoustic Roundtable" on WITRR, and WomensRadio.com.
