Biography
Hailing from Corpus Christi,Texas, Scripture11 is a five-piece hard rock band that has been steadily rising from the local Christian music scene the past few years. Our music is hard driving, riff laden rock that speaks the hope of redemption, and a longing for more in life than what has been offered to us from the world. Every song we bring bleeds the truth of God's work in our lives, and we are very passionate about sharing this truth with everyone we meet.
A brief history: After meeting in High School we all started playing together in church, We formed Scripture in 2003, and began writing and practicing our original material soon after. In 2006 we were ready to make our move, but the name "Scripture" was already taken by a band from the 80's. We then decided to add the "11" from Psalms 143:11 (NCV) which says "Lord let me live so people will praise you...", and thats when Scripture11 was born. After four years of playing shows and honing our skills we released our self-titled EP "Scripture11" in 2010, followed by a revised and re-mastered version of that CD named "Before It Fades-EP" in 2012.
Like every band, we have gone through our trials and tribulations, but have risen above by keeping ourselves grounded in our faith through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no greater honor than to serve God with the talents that He has given us. Every show we play is another oppurtunity to reach out, and that's exactly how we see it. We have had the privilege to share the stage with some of Christian music's finest, such as Fireflight, Seventh Day Slumber, Satelites and Sirens, Disciple, Decyfer Down, Rapture Ruckus, Write This Down, Project 86, KJ-52, The Letter Black, and many more.
