Based in Arcadia, California, The Scarlet Paradigm is a four-piece hard rock band that has spent the last year writing songs and playing local shows, which include appearances at The Whisky a Go Go, The Terrace, and the Old Town Pub in Pasadena.
The band, which consists of lead singer Chris Juede (24), guitarist Bill Ritter (24), drummer James Corsini (21), and bassist Bryan Villarin (27), formed in the fall of 2008 when Chris joined forces with members of the dissolved progressive rock band, Phantom Scream. The band was a close-knit group that had already played together for four years when they added Chris for lead vocals. Since the addition, they have been recording songs and playing shows in preparation for a professional run in the music industry.
The Scarlet Paradigm strives to create aggressive, melodic, thought provoking, experimental rock music. Influences of the band include, The Mars Volta, Tool, The Fall of Troy, The Deftones, Muse, Rage Against the Machine, The RX Bandits, and Nine Inch Nails.
The band is known for their creative ability and musical passion.
On January 19th, 2010 they self-released an EP titled "You Don't Need This..." for download through bandcamp.com.
The band is seeking management / representation to facilitate their career in music.

These guys have come a long way from playing Linkin Park and blink-182 cover songs out of a garage to playing shows at clubs and bars in Southern California. This brand new album showcases the many different styles of music they play, but you’ll have to listen to it yourself to understand what I’m talking about. My favorite track by far is Demonize because from the first time I heard it I was already humming along and nodding my head.
My suggestions to TSP would be to work on trimming down the length of some of the tracks. It felt like they were trying to stretch the songs, or aiming for a specific time. Also, the vocals need to be turned up or the instruments need to come down because it seams a bit overpowering.
In conclusion I’d like to encourage everyone to come out to the next TSP show on January 30th and download this album!
