20/20 and Poise

Better known to many as Ike, from Mike and Ike, 20/20 has worked with many Texas artists as a producer (Global, DOS, Crew 54, Hero and Rad, Mic Skills, Mirage, Southbound, and more). After shifting his focus from production to vocals, 20/20 has emerged as a young, impressive MC, contributing plenty of verses on a variety of albums and mixtapes (The Projeckt "Strictly Confidential", Latchkey’s “Indy Route Austin” Compilation, Hero and Rad “Resilience”, Crew 54 “Crew Deep”, Mic Skills “Defiant”, and more) . With various projects under his belt as a producer and emcee, and as a pseudo-member of various groups, 20/20, along with DJ Diamond Tip, has opened up for many touring acts, including Slick Rick, Guru, Neyo, Canibus, Black Sheep, Juelz Santana, Oneself, Boot Camp Clik, Rakim, Method Man, and Lil Wayne. With a solo mixtape (entitled: "A Rhyme Is A Terrible Thing to Waste") recently completed, and production for a compilation album completed as well, 20/20's current focus is on introducing the world to what 20/20 and Poise have to offer as a team. Inspired by life and a love for music, driven by faith, and focused on success as a vehicle for change, you can expect great things from 20/20 in the near future, as a producer, MC, and entrepreneur.

Originally from the midwest, Poise brought his lyricism and high energy act to Texas a few years ago and he hasn’t looked back. First featured on Mike and Ike’s “Classic Sound”, Poise has remained on the radar as someone to expect great things from. His ability to balance mainstream appeal with raw underground lyricism and delivery has many anxiously awaiting studio material. Poise has shared the stage with 20/20 and Diamond Tip on several different occasions both as an opening act (Guru, Neyo, Canibus, Black Sheep, Juelz Santana, Oneself, Rakim, Method Man, and Lil Wayne.) and as the main act across Texas, gaining recognition and respect for their talent and high energy live performances. Having collaborated with 20/20 for a few years now the two have developed a unique chemistry, building a sound that is distinctivley “20/20 and Poise.” With Poise sitting patiently on a solo LP that will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated, comprehensive, and quality independent releases in recent years, he has also shifted his current focus to the collaborative efforts involving his business partner 20/20.

Together, 20/20 and Poise have the dedication, talent, and business savvy to succeed in the entertainment industry. Their attention to detail and genuine passion and respect for music and the hip hop culture has propelled them to a level of quality and creativity that will ensure their time and space among other great artists. Their vibe, talent and honesty is reminiscent of the "golden era" of hip hop, yet their music remains fresh, creative, and original. Their experiences and charismatic personas, both individually and collectively, allow them to transcend a variety of boundaries and create music that is purposeful, yet entertaining, and relevant and accessible to a wide audience. 20/20 and Poise truly have a gift for satisfying both the true, avid listener of music, and the casual listener in search of high quality, entertaining music.
