Biography
Music has long been a constant in Rob Cater’s life, a soundtrack to long summer road-trips, ocean-side campfires, and early morning sunrises, which have in turn influenced his own songs – melodic guitar, heartfelt evocative lyrics, and soulful voice.
It was while living in London UK, writing songs and playing shows, that Rob met the Vancouver-born girl of his dreams, packed a bag and his guitar and hit the road, headed for the BC coast, gaining stories and inspiration along the way. Rob has been based in Vancouver ever since, and is fast establishing himself on the local music scene, playing shows and collaborating with some of Vancouver’s best artists and bands.
Rob self-released his debut EP, Stillframes, on his fledgling Aekosa label in early 2009, and is currently in the studio recording a full length follow up, to be released this summer. Rob will be playing numerous shows in Vancouver and BC through the summer, before heading out on a UK tour in December.
