Biography
Born Jersey girl and raised on the beaches of Southern California, Annie Calder now calls both NYC and LA home. Annie's influences include classic pop/rock legends the Beach Boys, Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, as well as later alt/rock artists such as The Cure, Regina Spektor and Coldplay. Her extensive training in classical piano, combined with her father's jazz and big band career, tempers her unique writing style.
Annie writes and performs original songs and covers in various venues and songwriter circles in NYC and LA. Eight of her songs are currently airing on internet radio. Five of her songs are currently licensed for use on major cable TV shows and being considered for advertising and indie film placements. She also writes for several major recording artists.
Annie's won numerous awards for her writing, including the prestigious ASCAP Plus Awards, Songwriters Hall of Fame Best New Writer Award, and Single Song and Body of Work honors from the UK Songwriting Contest. Her song lyrics have also been featured in American Songwriter magazine. Her first solo acoustic EP is near completion and will be released February 2011.

Currently in studio mastering first solo acoustic EP, to be released February 2011. Eight of Annie's songs are currently airing worldwide on four internet radio stations and cable TV shows, Her song, "Things Change," is featured on The Songwriters Hall of Fame Best New Writers compilation CD, released Summer 2010.
