Biography
The Tipping Point is a three-piece rock/alternative band out of Norfolk, VA that is relatively new to the scene, but composed of three experienced performers and songwriters. While there is no single genre or artist to compare it to, the band’s sound is built around good songs, strong melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics. The band is working hard to expand its reach and is always on the lookout for new challenges.
The idea for this project was born out of a need to try something different and the need to explore a new approach. Each member comes from a unique background, both personally and musically, so the goal was to begin creating a collection of songs that reflected that. The first steps made, toward writing material, were extremely productive and surprising even to the band. There seems to have been an untapped well of ideas that has the band writing at fervent pace.
The reaction has been amazing as audiences seem to be making an instant connection. This energy has translated into a confidence, within the band and a growing number of fans. With the release of their debut EP, The Tipping Point has continued with an aggressive and diverse performance schedule. New doors continue to open each and everyday, with the future looking brighter all the time.

The Tipping Point's self-titled debut was released in March 2009. The three-song EP includes the songs "Today is the Day", "A Long Goodbye", and "Clean Slate". All songs are available on iTunes with two more studio tracks ("Much Love" and "Never Too Late") coming in February 2011.

The Tipping Point has a 34-song set list and can currently offer over three hours of live music. The band's MAIN focus is developing its own music and sound, but does offer a mix of original songs and cover music (depending on the venue).
