Biography

Joy Chenese Clark was born on February 7, 1986 in Baltimore, MD. She is the daughter of George Clark and Tanya Young. Joy began playing the violin at age 7 and drums at the age of 11. Since the age of 16, Joy has been writing poetry and lyrics.
Music has always been apart of the family.Growing up her famliy enjoyed singing in choirs, praise teams and youth performances.
"JoyJoy" is the name given by close friends and family who said "your name is too short, saying it twice makes it longer."
But, She emphasizes her natural name being combined with the "Joy" of the Lord which is her strength.
In September 2009, Fuzion Radio Mixtape was released-Fusing hip hip instrumentals with inspirational and Positive Messages.
Joy Joy's EP is Due to Release June 2010....

  A lot of times when people talk about their childhood the memories that they hold are that of birthd...A lot of times when people talk about their childhood the memories that they hold are that of birthday celebrations, happy moments and playground experiences. But I think the most enduring memories in my mind are a little painful, tearful and heart aching. I grew up in Baltimore, MD where I also attended grade school. When I was nine years old I experienced a loss of a best friend I will never forget. It was a tragic incident of a car crashing into a bus stop on Woodlawn Drive, killing 5 people. One of the children was a childhood friend of mine, Keisha Dorsey along with her mother Kim, little sister Channel and 2 other cousins. I can remember the mud pies that we made the night before that were still on the playground after her death. I never questioned the Lord about taking a seven year old away from earth back to live with Him, I just figured maybe Christ was doing her a favor by taking her early. Maybe preventing her from a life filled with unbearable circumstances. But I always wondered “why not me.” If I would have spent the night or tagged along with my friend and her family I would have been gone too. Along with this tragedy came also the death of my grandfather and great aunt, due to cancer, around the same time. So as you can tell I found out from a young age, Life can be Short......
