Biography
The development of Faith Lyn's unique style is the result of eight years of musical influence. Having a history of playing proficiently four instruments, she narrowed her passion to the writing of songs and playing the guitar. Through finding her passion and performing violin selections on occasion, her confidence has grown and she has developed her own unique style. Many have noted her new type of genre to be unlike anything else they have ever heard. In her own words she would say, "I started singing in a way that was comfortable for me." She graduated from The Charleston County School of the Arts and immediately set her path on completing her first album 'Naturalyn' Songs of my Soul. It releases Summer 2010. She has been honored among other female musicians like Ann Caldwell and Joy Pryor, by Links, Inc. Faith Lyn's musical ambitions continue to grow as she integrates her life experiences in the carefully chosen words and melodies of this newly inspired genre, Soulful Folk Style.
She was featured on 106.3 F.M. WJNI, Solo performer at Craves Soul Food Restaurant and Porgy’s Other Place, Charleston, SC recipient of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Inc 2005 Image Award and, Winner of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Talent Hunt 2006.
