Biography

From NYC explodes Young Things. Their soaring guitars and vintage melodies hint at the lighter side of life; their pounding drums, dark lyrics and pure edge still scream with all the spit and grit of their hometown.

For a new band, it's been quite a run for Young Things. February saw one of the boys' hottest shows to date as they sold-out the legendary Bowery Electric, and earned themselves a residency at the local hot spot. The band's debut music video, All My Friends Are Junkies, premiered and has earned thousands of views on various websites, most notably AOL Music's national page as a featured video. The Young Things won the Deli Magazine's Artist of the Month, and headed to Toronto and played the NXNE festival. The band also played the Deli's Best Emerging Artists Festival, as well as Citizen Music's C-Fest, PS Fest 2011 and CMJ 2011. The band's latest single, Talking Too Loud, was self-released as a limited edition 7" Single. Young Things were also honored to receive opening slots on sold-out shows with rock icons Jesse Malin and Har Mar Superstar. The boys are dead-set on making the summer of 2012 even more successful. The band is currently working on a follow up to "...is the killer" ep. For more information on the band, and to download free tunes, check out TheYoungThings.net.
