Biography

Waking a sleeping generation through their heart and story, NoonDaySun is a Seattle-based band who combines God, family, friends, and favorite passions as the foundation of their band.

They express these core pieces that make life full through a fusion of pop/rock and rhythmic harmonies by sisters Cherie (keyboard/Vocalist), Crystal (rhythm guitar/vocalist) and Tiffiny (guitar/vocalist). A path illuminated by God’s grace and guidance led this family into music ministry, which has taken them on a remarkable journey over the last 9 years, learning and growing musically as well as in their Christian faith.

After a bible study left Tiffiny with a strong calling of musical worship on her heart, she convinced her two older sisters to join her, and the three started attaining and implementing musical elements into their life. As the girls walked through the doors being opened by the Lord, they were joined by Sean McKale (Cherie’s husband), who learned to play the drums and Jacob Theis (now Tiffiny's husband) who began playing bass to complete the band.

In 2005 they released their first (self-produced) CD. After establishing themselves, NoonDaySun signed to Seven17 Records in 2006. Their album NoonDaySun features four co-writes with artist Scott Krippayne (Jordin Sparks & Demi Lovato) including crowd favorite “Sparkle”. Their audience-capturing song “Go” reflects their passion to work toward awakening the revival generation.

Going back to their worship roots in 2008, NDS produced their worship EP called "Worship, Believe, Praise, Love." In it NDS shares some of their favorite Worship songs with you. Worship with a rock edge.

Their third original works album "So-Called Life" was released in April 2009. This latest offering brings meaningful lyrics with a catchy rock/pop sound. Co-writing with Trevor McNevan from Thousandfoot Krutch, dove award winners Barry Weeks and Tony Wood, and songs from Ian Eskelin and Randy Stonhill So-Called Life lyrics will lift you up with tunes that will rock your head and heart. Producer Nick Baumhardt (TFK guitarist) inspires edgy guitar and synth for a fresh sound. In this cd the band urges listeners to go counter culture and live a God focused life. Sincere, enthusiastic and a bit manic maybe, get this one in your collection and get in the groove!

In July 2009 the label dissolved and the band went indie. They contine to gig and still seek where God will lead them.

The scripture that inspired the name NoonDaySun (Psalm 37:5-6 "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.") reflects the challenge they bring to their audiences and to themselves: to wake up, to shine their brightest and to burn their hottest so the world can see God's love shining through them. From leading worship and doing city shows in the Ukraine to performing at Creationfest NW and Lifest to teaming up with Bob Lenz on his school assemblies to prison ministry, NoonDaySun continues “Rocking For The Afterlife”.
