Biography
Massive Element has been composing a new sound combining their roots in jazz, metal, and ambient rock. Their sound as a three piece band brings the beauty out of typically loud music, capturing the emotion and anguish of post rock without drawn out "crescendo-core." Founded in 2009, Sean Bowman (guitar), Xavier Chambers (drums), and Ben Siwak (bass) conduct an organic flow to their music, lifting and moving listeners through a sentimental journey through their own minds.
Clearly sense that these individuals have a deeper connection not only with the music that they perform but also to their souls. This has developed a newer and more complex meaning to "jamming." Each player has such unique style and individuality.The collaboration of their talents has produced an symbiotic and profound tie to not only to the ear but the inner conscience of the listener.
Massive Element has performed in number of battle of the bands and talent shows, making their way into the greater Boston area playing venues and outdoor festivals. Performing at 2009's outdoor Make Music Cambridge Festival, Massive Element drew an unexpected crowd despite poor weather. Requested to headline the following year in 2010, Massive played to their crowd stopping all passing by. Frequently complemented, Massive Element's audience shows reverence, witnessing delicate and emotional compositions.
