Biography

Twin A is a once in a life time find - great songwriting combined with a powerful voice and a rhythm section that can both rock and groove - you can't help but compare them to major arena acts, like U2, Radiohead and Coldplay. In 2003, London/Sire recording artist John Lardieri, added bass player Paul Ogunaslu (from Wax Poetic) and drummer Jorge Pertuz creating a rhythm section with a raw energy that has set them apart from the rest of the New York City music scene. Their independently released CDs have found their way into the hands of fans all over the country and have been the most requested songs on the radio stations that have played them. John has released multiple independent albums selling over 10,000 copies. Twin A is his most muscular sound yet and has been described as "Widescreen arena rock". It is no wonder why their latest release "Something Good" has generated a buzz in the music industry so quickly.

Opened for Fuel, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Vanessa Carlton, The Samples, Agents of Roots, Hammell on Trial, Glen Tillbrook (Squeeze).....

Produced and performed on the multi-platinum release "Monogamny Vtzah" (UNIVERSAL) for Czech artist Richard Muller.

Indie, college, and AAA radio spins, including Q104.3 in NYC and Rochester's 90.5 WBER, where the band held the #1 most requested slot for the track "PROOF" for seven weeks and currently "SAFETY NET" which has been number one for two weeks and is expected to last even longer than "PROOF". "PROOF" was voted the #3 Song of 2004 by the station.

Music featured on Television: MTV Power Girls, Dawson's Creek (4x) Road Rules, Real World, NBC Superstars (2X), NBC live music show pilot Soundcheck. The band was featured in an MTV special, aired in Nov. 2003.


Signed to London/SIRE by Seymour Stein in 2001.

  It is interesting that THEME SONG suddenly slows down after two minutes in the song, and then it goes to the next song something good soon. There are only guitar, bass and drums, so it really simple sound, however, amazingly the sound expands fully and richly that must be their talents.
  
  I also recalled about Jeff Buckley when I heard their sound first time. It is not simply their sound and vocal are very similar, but also more basic
  part such as the way they compose music or they transfer their feeling in music. This song is typical example. Jeff's father Tim Buckley was popular
  in 1960. When Jeff was twenty seven years old he got fame since he released debut album Grace which is perfectly well done 1994. But he was drowned 1997. Even now people love his left work and his popularity has not ended. I see TWIN-As good sense of songwriting skill and dramatic vocal skill, as if Jeff's genes transferred to them. Of course it is not solo, but the groove, as a
  group, is outstanding and that makes listeners feel good especially in third song Bitch. The intensity coexists with romanticism in the song that is mostly their style and world!
  
  Like they stifle their feeling first, and then it explodes. That development is perfect. In fifth song Safety Net that they express the feeling that people who try to look for the exit in the time like the band The Smiths did. John composed more than a few songs and his works have been used
  for Television, so the foundation is stable, but the songs are described sensitively. Even the sound is very simple; still the listeners can have rich
  sound. He sings dramatically like BONO in Goodnight Satelite or I recalled Rue
  Lead from Manhattan. Especially, in Manhattan, he sings like looking up moon in heavy cold winter. They don't pick the shallow commercialize topic,
  but have stayed away it and established their own style. They don't play the petty tricks. Only the band plays the simple music. However, in their powerful and rich sound, there is a big potential for the future. I want to pay attention how people react their music.

TWIN-A is availible for bookings in several different versions. While the band most often plays rock venues, they will strip down to an acoustic trio/duet/solo depending upon the purchaser's request. They are availible for private/corporate events as well as college and venue bookings.
