Biography
Ihaia (AKA ClevelandBlues) launched into the Indie blues rock scene of 2008 with his trade mark style of old time dirt blues on steel body dobro, violin, banjo and three string cigar box. Not wasting a second,he jumped onto the Queensland/New South Wales festival circuit gaining a solid fan base and a worthy reputation for his live show.
As 2009 rolled in, Ihaia, who is an avid surfer, was featured on the soundtrack to Australian Surfing Life..s DVD & the Liquid Lifestyles Surfing DVD.
A highlight of his time on the road was opening for Kate Miller-Heikde to thousands of screaming fans at the Festival of the Sun, Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
He also received great reviews at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and was voted by New York City Photographer "Shot by Jake" as the "Favorite Artist in The House of Gibson" alongside The Hussy Hicks & Wassie James.
Earlier this year, Ihaia teamed up with new drummer Bam Bam Norden & harmonica player Dean Martin - Cleveland Blues & the Red Eye Junction was born, an original, raw blend of catchy, foot stompin' alternative blues rock music.

With the release of there new 8 song EP "Down by the Apple Tree" later this year & after just getting back from a tour up north - "HOMEWARD BOUND TOUR 2010" - then Wowing the growd at The Great Noosa Camp Out along side the likes of Dallas Frasca, Mason Rack Band, Marshal & the Fro, Hatz Fitz & Cara Robinson, Chase the Sun and more.
"ClevelandBlues & the Red Eye Junction" are on there way to make a mark or a stain what ever it will be, but you will most certainly know them, with there clean & sharp look of the 1940..s and the soul of a wise man and the heart of a lion, front man Ihaia (Cleveland) really does show his love for the want to play music, lyrics more of poem..s then writings, with a strong urgency for hard rockin riffs, "background music" he calls it, lol poetry in motion "FULL THROTTLE" !!! I would say.
With new amazingly talented Bam Bam Norden on drums & harmonica player Dean Martin together with Ihaia they are ClevelandBlues & the Red Eye Junction...
