Biography
"Who's Storm Calysta?" You ask. I am Storm Calysta, formerly known as Shannon Behm. I'm a small & quite odd 19 year old girl, that's beein madly in love with music & performing her entire life. I wrote my first song at age 8 & couldn't help but, to continue writing. Through elementary & middle school I picked up a few instruments such as violin, french horn, & piano. When I was 15 I began to teach myself guitar & it was instantly natural to me, within a month of learning how to guitar, I booked my first paying gig. Since, that day I cannot help but, to continue gigging. I've performed about 300+ shows since then. Music is my everything. <3 Over the past few years I've grown very much so as an artist. I started out playing as an acoustic pop artist, which then transformed into indie acoustic music, but now I've taken "one hell of a leap" & started a new huge chapter in my life & decided it is time for a change. Which is the reasoning behind me changing my name from Shannon Behm to Storm Calysta. Also, I am currently working on a new EP (to be released around spring/summer) that showcases my love for electropop/ dubstep music. This EP is extremely different from my older music, but don't be alarmed, I promise it's still me. On top of that, this summer I am hoping to tour the U.S.A. with my band showcasing myself in a whole new way, as Storm Calysta. Stay tuned because, there shall be much more from me in the near & far future!
