Biography
STEAL the SCENERY is a stimulating four piece alternative pop band from sunny San Diego, CA. The group’s wide variety of influences from pop music to the underground hardcore scene have fueled and influenced their writing and ability to create music you want to listen to. Front man and lead singer Bobby Frausto cool raspy voice melts at the heartstrings of his listeners with fresh lyrics while the rest of the band turns out catchy, radio ready, guitar hooks and dance along melodies. Combine that with an energetic and professional live performance; and you can see why they are a must see when in your town.
In spring 2010 the group jolted to the top of the San Diego music scene with the release of their full length album entitled “All Or Nothing” produced by Jaime Preciado of "Pierce the Veil". They followed that up in November 2010 hitting the road with Just Surrender (Razor and Tie), Phone Calls From home (Red Blue Records) and The Scenic (Victory).
Currently, the band is writing and recording their much anticipated second album “The Art of Breaking Hearts” set to be released midsummer, while touring regionally in Southern California and the Southwest. The new album will have a new sound for the Steal The Scenery fans while pleasing a new group of fans. They stay very active in the community by playing fundraiser concerts that benefit local schools and other community organizations.
