Biography

The Invisible Hand is the greatest band you’ve never seen. Rocking Calgary venues since 2007, The Invisible Hand plays kickass rock songs, brimming with hooky guitar riffs and powerful vocals. The band combines elements of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock into a sound all their own, and they are here to save the world from boring indie bands.

Beginning with guitarist Murray T. Handman and bassist Joey Rose, members were hand-picked (pun intended) to bring the rock with the proper level of intensity. Vocalist / lyricist Adam Smith joined next, followed by Mikey F on drums. In 2010, Chris Ferguson joined on rhythm guitar. Their live shows are known to be a spectacle in musical tightness, and are delivered with tons of energy.

The band released a 5-song EP titled “Cash Money” in 2009. Their new full-length album “Crawling Up The Wall” was recorded at Sparkletoes Studios in 2010, and is out our own Sploosh Records label in March 2011. The album is also available on our website to order or download.

We can also do about an hour of popular classic rock and alt-rock covers. This gives us 3 sets and the ability to play a whole evening without an opening band if necessary.
