Biography
Acarya is a Cincinnati-based rock project that is starting to emerge nationally with the rising success of songs like "Accidentally Beautiful" and "Rain Four." With their uniquely percussive and intensely acoustic approach, they describe their sound as "Tribal Rock." After recording with famed producer Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, etc) this band is surely one to be watched.
They have performed at many large and mid-sized venues in Cincinnati and are expanding quickly throughout the region. They received an honorable mention in the M.E.A.N.Y. Festival in New York City in October, 2011 and were also chosen to showcase at the Millennium Music Fest in Feb. 2012 and 2013. This past summer, they performed in New Castle, Perkasie, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, PA; New York City NY and Syracuse, NY; Atlantic City, NJ; Chicago IL; Cincinnati, Columbus, Youngstown and Athens, OH and Louisville, Florence, Richmond and Newport, KY.
Venues where they have performed include:Chicago's "Elbo Room," Louisville's Hard Rock Cafe, Madison Theater, The Southgate House, Ohio's Northside Tavern, Fountain Square, Mainstay Rock Bar, Rohs Street Cafe, Taza, Baba Budan's, G.
